    Online Quickplay Suggestions/Improvements

Most of it comes down to wanting to change your character. Want to switch up your control scheme? Yeah nope you lose your place in the queue. Want to change your character while spectacting? Nope you have to back out and lose your place in the queue to do that too. Want to change your character...

Why is punishing in this game so obscenely difficult?

The balance feels better in this game already. Every character has their strengths and weaknesses

How to deal with smaller or floaty characters?

Only in the air. You can angle the fsmash up or down about 20°

Are the Belmonts bad for fundamentals?

I love the Belmont's. I would say they put the 'fun' in fundamentals

    Frosty's Floating D-air?

It's intentional. Happens with Bowser's dair as well. If used at the right (or wrong) time the momentum cancels itself out or something and you go into this weird slow fall

    Good counters to marcina?

I'll back you up here, I main Bowser and Marth/Lucina and Chrom are by far the hardest match ups for me. All swordies give me trouble but Marth and Lucina have exceptional aerial attacks and edge guarding against heavies. Maybe it's our massive hurtbox, I dunno but I seem to lose a lot of...

    What’s your worst habit?

Mine is definitely rolling or dodging needlessly instead of knowing my shield should/could have taken the hit. When I'm playing my main man Bowser I'm too predictable in the air with down A or down B. I'm good at mixing up my attacks and grabs on the ground but when I'm in the air I flail around...

C-Stick for tilts and its usage

It comes down to personal preference. Tilt attacks are more versatile, and leave less openings than a smash attack. Having tilt on the stick makes it easier to perform aerials and pivot tilts.

So items and casual play are generally disliked now?

Ultimate took the route of quantity over quality with the items, unfortunately... Too many items are 'I win' buttons, and map hazards that insta-gib you. It gets super annoying to lose your last stock to Boss Galaga and lose the match because of it. That being said I still enjoy items and...

Ultimate Bowser MU Analysis and Discussion

Just wanted to throw this out there, since this last page had some discussion about Bowser's n-air... https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/acoa4d/bowser_still_has_a_consistent_combo_starter/?utm_source=reddit-android It's definitely a janky attack. It has wonky hitboxes and three stages...

Sick of Upairs having priority over Downairs

^ what he said. I play mostly heavyweights as well and feel your pain. Heavies are a giant target in the air. Some attacks take priority over others, so you have to play unpredictability. If you know he's going to up-smash, try fast fall and air Dodge and try to punish during his recovery.

Has anyone else noticed that the spirit board is by far the worst part of this game?

Then don't play spirit mode? I don't know what else to tell ya man. If we tell you the fun way to play with spirits is the right way, and you don't like it then there's no helping it.

Are there such thing as fast characters anymore?

Some people have mastered that buffer window for attacking and moving. Being able to immediately follow up with the right command in that buffer window makes every character feel insanely fast https://www.gamecrate.com/super-smash-bros-ultimate-tips-advanced-controls/21677 About halfway...

Learning Super Smash Brothers ultimate competitively (the journey)

For real though that is the most important step. I heard about the rankness of Smash tournaments but didn't believe it until I experienced it myself. Good Lord. Hard to believe people leave the house like that and crowd into a room with a bunch of other sweat heads. In all seriousness, in...

Has anyone else noticed that the spirit board is by far the worst part of this game?

Spirit board is good to pick up spirits you don't have, stock up to dismiss, or simply challenge yourself against a legendary. I appreciate the challenge of trying to pick the right counters for the stage but still powering myself up enough to stand a chance. The first legendary class I won...
