I'm fairly new to this. Need help with choosing a main.

You should probably look at the top ten characters if you want to succeed in competitive brawl. Pikachu, Ice Climbers, Diddy Kong, and Zero Suit Samus are probably the hardest to play well of those 10, and Meta Knight, Marth, and Snake being on the easier side. Meta Knight is clearly the best...

    Meta Knight Q&A Thread

Drill rush cancels, platform cancels, the spacing for offstage shuttle loops to autosnap the ledge, up air strings and their follow ups, like the roofie-o, auto cancelled back air into turn around grab, the down tilt lock, glide tossing, and just generally executing the moves you intend to are...

Victory is My Destiny - MK Video and Critique Thread

Hey guys, I'm a relatively new Meta Knight player and I've got a few tournament sets for critiquing. This first one is Loser's Finals of a one stock tournament from a few months ago. http://youtu.be/JMxl_KuCpjM This second set is Winner's Semis of my pool from two weeks ago...

A question of a competitive Smash newbie

That's more or less all correct. Technically a footstool is a spike as well, by the definition of a spike, but most people don't consider it a spike.

    Is the Wii Remote better?

You want to bind your smashes to the d-pad, trust me. This allows you to SDI attacks, and it allows you to do a forward aerial while moving backwards, or a backwards aerial while moving forwards, along with a fast fall upwards aerial, and a rising downwards aerial.

    Is the Wii Remote better?

Nothing wrong with Wiimote + Nunchuk as long as you bind smashes to shake smash or the d-pad, to allow for dual-stick DI.

Don't forward smash so much. It works okay on wifi, but in an actual match you'll get punished a lot for it.

The character is called Pikachu. I recommend you call it that, as PikaPika is a Pikachu player, so this could cause some confusion.

Event - Apex 2015 Find your Pools here!

Hi, my tag is Grunyan. I'm I'm brawl pool 13, along with Tony 22 and Zeton. All three of us are from Kansas, and of the six Kansas players going, it seems ridiculous that three of us are in the same pool. I'm requesting that this fraudulence be fixed, thanks.

Sorry, my connection cut out there. In case you can't tell, I'm super awful on Wi-Fi. Your Chu is relatively solid, especially considering it's Wi-Fi. You go for more smashes than you probably should, try some more tilts. Also, mix up your approach. It was almost all dash to up smash or nair.

Sure. Shoot me a message for when you're free to play. I do. We beat most characters off of the stage. I'll even go off against Metaknight depending on the situation. I love to drop down nair people. They expect the rising nair, but not falling.
