    Shine combos vs fastfallers

It's important to learn the followups for shine vs spacies (detailed above) - and it's just as important to realize when you shouldn't shine. A lot of foxes blindly throw out shines in the middle of combos and end up unnecessarily resetting the situation to neutral if they aren't prepared to...

How long did it take you to SH/SHDL consistently?

Complete mastery does not occur until you can seamlessly integrate it into real matches. Just my 2 cents. As for learning SHDL... it's literally just practice. Grind away.

    Uses for multi-shines?

Double shine as shield pressure is a little overrated. It can be useful as a mixup, but don't overuse it. In the Fox ditto, running double shine / aerial into doubleshine near the ledge can be super useful to get your opponent off stage and into an edgeguard scenario. Even upthrow -> double...

    Wavedashing vs. Dash Dancing

In general, I agree that dash dancing seems more useful on average than wave dashing. It's confusing why players like Hax seem to wave dash so frequently when dash dancing seems like an option with less commitment. That said, wave dashing lets you do things like up tilt, where dashing won't...

    Mang0/ Fox "Swag lasers"?

After dropping from the ledge, jump, tap right, fire lasers after stick resets to neutral, and hold left once you start firing lasers.

Best way to short hop double laser?

    I use Y > Slide to B and press B again

Who do you guys use as secondaries?

    Falco and, recently, Marth.

    New Fox

Honestly Y is much easier for me to SHDL with, because I slide my thumb from Y to B and tap B again for the inputs. Never been able to do it with X - but of course it's possible. What the Pro's do doesn't matter as long as you can replicate it comfortably. Just try out all the options and...

    Waveshine question

I release the stick between shine and the wavedash.

    Dealing with Marth in neutral?

Run away until the Marth over extends and whiffs a laggy move; use platforms to get away from dash dance and tech chases. Punish bad committals with drill-shine/nair-shine/upthrow aerial etc. Don't approach when he's ready for you, but don't sit still either. You need to be dash-dancing and...

    Q&A -Fox Advice/Questions Topic-

I use Up and A, but Up and C-Stick is fine as well. (Up and A gives you the option of charging in case you need to wait a slight amount of time) I've never heard of anyone using Crouch + C-Stick.

Is Smash 64 most Melee fans' second favourite?

Smash 4 is my second favorite game, because if I'm not playing melee, I like to relax with my friends on Smash 4. Eight player chaos is actually pretty fun.

How do I improve without good players?

As lame as it sounds, watch top player streams and top 8 VODs from good tournaments. How effective this will be depends on what kind of learner you are; you might pick up interesting ideas about spacing from watching top players, or it might do nothing for you. Personally I love watching top...

    Is anyone else getting blisters?

Depends on what exactly you mean by blisters. Practicing lots of tech skill with Fox after taking a break from melee makes me notice callouses on my fingers, similar to what a guitar player gets eventually. I never have gotten true 'blisters', though.

Who is your main and what color do you use?

    Orange Fox, Blue Falco.
