Project M uses mostly premade assets, they -basically- just change number values within Brawl with a few added code snippets. Additionally, they have been working on it for years. As for other kickstarters, some have gameplay but many are just concept artwork... :P

People talked a lot about adding hitlag, hitfx, and other visual effects. As for gameplay, it was mostly balance issues(aside from shield/trapdoor/ledge bugs). My favorite suggestion was about changing some of the ground combos.

Yup, all of the character story is being written by him. He will likely help with design too. The EVO build was geared to be more similar to melee than it will be in the future. We are considering a name change.

What types of characters do you find appealing?

It is compatible with most usb devices. We have gc->usb adapters for smashers to use at EVO.
