I’m sure most of you noticed the distinct lack of ‘zing’ in the past few weeks updates, and might be feeling a bit disappointed, and fair enough, I’m sure not many were interested in the training mode update, and I know I myself was a little down at getting MetaKnight’s moves for a second time, but people are using these updates to complain. “Sakurai should stop this time wasting and show us another character!” or “Jeez Sakurai we saw that at E for All!”

It’s things like this that bug me, for a number of reasons.

Coen here. I was feeling like writing something today, which gave me the idea of writing a little Brawl gameplay analysis. In this blog update I will be analyzing one of the gameplay vids, namely Samus vs Mario on Battlefield. I thought I’d put it on the blog, kind of nice. I’ll probably be doing this for some other gameplay videos too, if you like it.

I'm aware this is not the full version of the vid. Enjoy nonetheless. I will do the update for the whole vid later on.

In this vid, they’ll be playing on Battlefield while giving you some information on the game and how familiar it will feel when you’ve played the earlier Smash Bros games before. The match seems to be a Time Match, 2 Minute-Battle.

I know you guys love these daily updates, plus the articles and such we host here, but ever had the problem where you couldn't get to a PC? Well thanks to Gideon (And Scav and Plasia for helping with testing!) we've managed to whip up a setup that will let us Mail our posts to your Wii! It's incredibly simple to set it up.

As the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl approaches, we here at Smash World and the Smash Blog are cognizant of the fact that some of our readers are trying to remain spoiler-free. That is to say, they're trying to avoid anything that might spoil Brawl for them before they get a chance to play it themselves, without totally ignoring any news that Sakurai has to share with us. Thus far we've been careful not to include potential spoilers on the front page of the blog so as to protect these readers.

Unfortunately, as more news becomes available, it becomes a lot more difficult for us to refrain from posting at all about spoilers for the game. But, since we want to help our readers remain spoiler-free if they want to, we've decided to set up a special "no-spoilers" blog and RSS feed.

As you've probably noticed, if you tried to get to this site from smashbrawl.com, you ended up someplace new and strange, but perhaps eerily familiar. The Smash Blog has been moved to smashboards.com, in order to help bring the different parts of the Smash World network closer together and more tightly integrated.

Yes, the title's right. We've had returning characters from Melee, we've had profiles of characters from the trailers, now we've been shown a brand new character for Brawl, from an already existing franchise. If you want to keep it a secret, read no futher.

Sorry for the lack of a Dojo post yesterday, early starts at work + late finishes at work make me one tired Mic. Which is a shame concidering yesterdays update contains a decent amount of information, and todays isn't bad either, for Yesterdays was about the "names" of players and today was Wario's Special moves.
