An interesting new rumor started floating around the Brawl rooms yesterday. Thanks this simple picture of the Smash Bros logo, followed by NOW PRINTING, our assumption-filled audience assumes, and rightfully so, that it means that Brawl has gone gold.

For those of you that don't know, the term "Going Gold" means that the game is done, and undergoing mass production. If the rumor is true, this confirms that there won't be any more delays.

But how reliable is a simple picture?

Kind of fitting to get music from "Angel" Island on Christmas, no? Regardless of what you were expecting for the DOJO updates this music is still a welcome addition to the Brawl's music repertoire along with its composer Jun Senoue who joined the ranks of Brawl's list of musical composer. For those not familiar with the Sonic series, this music comes from Sonic the Hedgehog at the very beginning of the game in Angel Island Zone.

One of the more popular ideas for a 3rd party character that falls into the likely catagory is Megaman. He's been around since the NES days and has appeared in over 100 games since 1987. The only problem is this issue of the Bionic Commando Podcast.

 By now you've probably had your dreams shattered.  The much anitcipated magazine issue revealed nothing new. Even the screens shown were taken from the dojo.

Today Nintendo has clarified that the release list does not contain all games as some do not yet have a solid release date.

"Nintendo also included some titles which were fixed for release beyond Q1 2008 such as Mario Kart Wii. All Nintendo software titles launching in Q2 2008 have not been finalised or confirmed to date."

What does this mean exactly? That Brawl may or may not see a release of 6 months after its US counterpart. It isn't confirmation of a quick release, but it wouldn't hurt to keep your fingers crossed.
