Yeah I know other people that can play FG but not anybody on their friend list. That's why I was asking

If you haven't been able to play people on your friend list (not sure), make sure your router is set up to enable DMZ for your 3ds. Can always Google the error code to find out issues. I was getting the generic "can't talk to this person" code 0515 so I'm not sure
