Yeah I changed my Wiimote and Nunchuck control layout a bit and I've been able to DITCIT more often than the one I posted first. When I first posted I will admit, I haven't been too certain on things on how to do it, but I'm 100% certain on how to do it now at least.

There's more than one reason why its just hard to pull on the other controllers and that's because you need to return the control stick back to neutral at the same time you press attack and at around the 3 frame window, which is near the end of your dash, you want to press up smash and forward smash at the same time.

Those are the inputs/animations required to do so and doing it the AB Smash method is hard because you need to angle the control stick precisely to get both F and U Smash, but at the same time you need to stop or slow down in some ways. Its complicated, and doing this in a real fight maybe not even worth it unless you practice it really hard.

That is why my most honest advice for you is stick with the Wiimote and Nunchuck if you want to do it the most consistent and take it to a tournament. Otherwise, its always gonna be tough to do.

My updated Wiichuck controls are:

B: Attack
A: Shield
A+B: Grab
Z: Special Attacks
C: Jump
Button 1: Grab
D-Pad: All Smash Attacks.

I'll repeat the instructions, and these are 100% accurate: First hold a metal blade, fox trot once, and around the end of the animation you press attack early, followed with up smash and forward smash pressed at the same time. (all in 1/6th of a second.)

The perk you get from it is perfect shielding should be way easier than before due to shield being assigned to a button, but it definitely feels very odd at first at least for me. The other thing is you can perfect pivot easier by holding down Z and B (Attack and Special) then holding the opposite direction as you tap right on the d-pad. Also DITCIT is much easier since you'll be focusing on one hand for the timing.

Its pretty easy in general. I do hope you get used to it though. I believe anyone could if they really tried.

Thanks a bunch for a lot of info!
I agree that doing it consistently with the GC-controller seems a bit too hard. Hopefully people wont start banning wireless controllers like some TOs seems to do, people should be able to use whatever they are most comfortable with

Its a little bit of BS, and somehow I'm a little certain if the word about DITCIT goes more mainstream, they'd allow it players to chose that remote. Removing the batteries isn't difficult and neither is syncing. (PS3 controllers are slower to sync IIRC and slow down events)

All it needs to take is a good moderator that makes sure there isn't any wireless interference. If there is, they get disqualified based on the severity. I can understand banning the Wii U pro controller, but I'm pretty sure Wiimotes should be less of an issue at the very least.

I've been down with my events lately and they seem okay with it once they got to understand.

Yeah I don't see any problem with it as long as there is some kind of punishment for not disconnecting and messing with games etc.

You don't need to return the stick to neutral for DITCIT.
