Deja vu. I've already owned you in a discussion of this topic once. Do we really have to do it again? :p

How do you think those bookwriters got that knowledge, dude? From another book?

I also answered this same exact point in our last discussion too. Sigh...you're really gonna make me do this again, aren't you?

I never said that you can't learn for book.

I agree that books the safest way to learn, but nothing gets stuck in your memory better than doing something by yourself.

Yep, you're making me do this again. :/

For the umpteenth time, while it's nice to have hands-on experiences, it is not feasible under many many circumstances. Take all of history for example. Nobody has a time machine to "experience" it firsthand, so we have books. They usually do the hard part of finding primary sources and summarizing them for us.

If you want me to repeat myself exactly, we can talk about science too. The average person does not have access to the lab equipment most scientists have. Thus, it is unrealistic to assume that hands-on experience can replace everything written in books.

I NEVER said books were wrong...they're actually more convenient because it already gives you the answers.

But experiencing is better than reading, not including exceptions that would involve breaking the space-time continum to experience them.

"Books aren't gonna help!"
If you aren't unfairly criticizing books in that quote, then I'm not a brony.
