i raaarely play wifi in sm4sh. if anything, i kinda avoid it. my lag is too horrendous for anyone i play with :|

i've been busy with college though so it's rly hard to balance my responsibilities and hobbies. my vacation though is ~7 weeks from now

maybe around april. i'll hit you up when i feel like it. probably gonna go mario or ike since i'm kinda comfortable playing with them in lag

How can he be the Hero of Time if his attacks take longer than my play time on OoT to come out?

That's been his problem since Smash 64. Another problem of his is that all his projectiles don't really cohere with each other that well. It feels as if they were all slapped into Link's moveset, just cause it's link's notable and traditional items from his games

just replace bow and arrow with boomerang. make link's side b some cool ass sword attack or that ****. i'll take anything at this point for as long as it makes sense

I was thinking that Link could have Shield Bash as his side-B or something. Reflects projectiles, maybe does something special to opponents.

Link, Samus, and maybe other characters from 64 would all benefit from an overhaul of some sort.

shield bash could be a combo starter for link too. just make it deal have less end lag and make it deal more hitsun or something. make it short ranged (cuz it probably would be) but make it come out fairly fast

make his shield useful for something sakurai. lol

It doesn't even have to deflect projectiles (even though it should to match source material). He could take a page from Palutena's book and make it a dash attack. Make his current dash attack his FSmash (since you can do it standing in the Zelda games).

I hope that doesn't mean it'd be invincible like Palutena's dash attack

Well, like I said it would probably be a side special. Honestly it would make sense to have some invincibility (maybe not his whole body though). Short range would also hinder it.

But that's a fair point, haha. Invincible FG spammers makes it sound like a bad idea.

I want Samus to have Speed Booster/Shinespark but I can't help but think it would be broken.

Maybe make shield bash continue through clank instead, IDK. Probably the best replacement for invincibility.

Not giving Samus shinespark is how I know Sakurai hates Metroid

I'd have to test it out, I don't remember using that power in that mode.

If I'm recalling Speed Booster's inclusion in Fusion correctly, it kind of is in Smash. Except it's called Super Speed. In the actual games you have to run a distance before it activates but that doesn't fit well in Smash.
