I hated Toy Story 4 because of the ending, Woody should not of left Buzz and the others. It just doesn't fit Woody's character at all.

When I binged GF for the first time I had no idea about the ciphers or fandom and it still instantly became one of my favorite shows of all time. That show had a lot of heart put into its writing and thats where it really shines. The ciphers are mostly just a fun bonus and most arr just jokes anyway.

I don't mind that Mabel is still childish at the end of the show because she's literally a child. People are way too hard on her. I think her character development was just fine.

I also didn’t know any of the outside contents for Gravity Falls and I instantly fell in love with the show and it’s probably up there with my all time favorite. But yes Mirio is the best MHA character

Cartoons have more creativity and diversity in story than anime.
Yeah that's definitely a pretty weird opinion. If anything, I'd personally say that anime is a little too creative with the story sometimes lol.

Also, I do agree that Ultimate will most likely not be remembered fondly in the future (in a competitive sense that is).

Brawl and Sm4sh are two different things. So, is Ultimate gonna be an underrated gem or a forgettable yet admirable Smash game? :4pacman:
I thought Mabel was a good character, I just wish she apologized to Dipper for all that stuff she did throughout the show.
Mirio is a good character. Personally though I don't think he's the best, but he's certainly up there.

Janx_uwu Janx_uwu She apologizes in the comics (the ones made by Hirsch himself). That's what I mean by outside contents.

Omar_25 Omar_25 It will be remembered fondly, but in a different way. It will be remembered as the Everyone is Here game.

GenoDoge GenoDoge Toy Story 4 in general wasn't needed and it was OOC.

I think it was most likely because John Lasseter (Thanks to some accussations) wasn't in charge like in the other 3 movies. If he took care of 4, it would be different.

Why did you fall in love with it without knowing outside contents. I'm actually pretty curious to hear about it. People are now hating it and ranting about it on Deviantart, Reddit, and Amino (Those are the places I have heard it from) because of Mabel, Mysteries not being solved (such as the Cipher Wheel, some characters, the details of Bill), and Consistency Problems. (I have seen well received animes and cartoons with WAY worse consistency problems than GF and those haven't been pointed out)

I guess the heartfelt moments in Gravity Falls just really resonated with me. Dipper and Mabel's sibling relationship reminded me of my relationship with my own sister, so I found the characters and what they went to extremely relatable. Almost every episode in the series is also a solid story on its own, each with an impactful or heartfelt character moment.

There's some advantages to going in blind to. I was surprised by the twist that the journal's author was Stan's brother, for instance. From my understanding most GF fans at the time of the reveal had already figured that out, but without the ciphers and close attention to the little details it's harder to guess. Going back and rewatching the episodes before that reveal was also a treat, since it really recontextualizes a lot of moments involving Stan.

I think a lot of hate that Mabel and Ford get comes from people not wanting to understand the themes about human error. All the characters make huge mistakes throughout the show and those two are the only two who get flack from the fanbase for some reason. Fandoms, and sometimes people in general, can have a hard time understanding dramatic irony or nuances of morality for some reason. They just have to have someone to blame even if it ignores the show's themes of trust and forgiveness.

I do have a few issues with the show of course, but they're more of nitpicks then major issues that impact my enjoyment of the show. Fandoms can really take small issues sometimes and really blow them out of proportion.

ZephyrZ ZephyrZ This in in topic and out of topic at the same time, but my friend from Alabama said that the hate on Smash Ultimate is uncalled for thanks to nitpicks that is out of proportion similar to Gravity Falls. What do you think about this?

^I would say so. Both of them certainly have their flaws - as all games and shows do - but I think their strengths are far more then enough to make the flaws they do have forgivable.

One thing I would say however is that as a multiplayer game, I do think Ultimate's online is a serious issue that can bog down the core experience. I still don't think it's enough to outweigh the game's strengths but I would still say that it's an issue that's more then just a "nitpick".

We all know the problemos of online. We could have something like Slippi but it would take YEARS to come.

They seriously lowkey went to Brawl levels of bad online

I really like how the online system in this game works, but I am not all for the connection. When it’s good, it feels like a local match. When it’s bad, it feels like a Google Slides presentation. I don’t think they’re in any real hurry to fix it, but they have taken some small steps recently, and I’ve noticed I get bad connections a bit less often.
