^^^Seriously funny S***.

**Updated

Chibo: The link to that thread gave me a link to ALL your tourney results, I just wanted the ones after 3-26-2010. It was also in some awkward code format that I couldn't properly copy paste, so I re-typed all your results that I suspect are after March 26. So please clarify which ones are/are not appropriate for this thread, and you should also include links to the results thread. You had also mentioned that you used Wario in some of your matches at Super DSO, but in your composite results thread it doesn't specify what characters you used.

But I liked the simple format of your results so we'll be using that from now on (as few spaces as possible).

Zwarm: please stop using pics of characters in your results, it makes the archive awkward shaped.

Stingers: are you still attending tournies dude?

I think that is all I need to rant about for now. Ima try to get my results together now.

Oh, and I just finished my combo vid, I'll release it tomorrow.

Xzaz got *****, and dayum, fishy was taken off :(.
I went to one tournament in the last 7 months =P Didn't meet activity requirements lol

Still, seeing as how that "one tournament" was this past saturday, I don't think I did too badly. If I may, I'd like to say that I was pretty consistent against PS. Chibo and I both took him to game 3 but all of my games with him were 1-stocks with medium-high percents (though your JV was sexy)

kudos to chibo for placing well though

its hard to teach the metaknight matchup. you've just gotta really learn your options through practice. remember: fsmash goes through nado =)

I can get through the tornado easily. I am pretty good at punishing it. My difficulty is killing MK and getting grabbed by him. Everything following a dthrow ***** me no matter what I do. Its like regardless what I do I get punished and a string occurs. I DI away. I get dash attacked or boost grabbed(which leads to another dthrow) I use my double jump and MK fAirs me or starts other things. I don't DI and I eat a shuttle loop.I DI up and get uAir stringed. The worst part is that it seems like MK doesn't even need to predict. He just waits until I do what I do then punishes accordingly. Its like I have no options.

EDIT: Also trying to use the invincibility frames of a tech to avoid the next move doesn't work. Everytime I try that I get grabbed again or worse.

learn common things MKs like to do depending on your DI and punish them. if they catch on then DI a different way and repeat...i mean it's a terrible position so there's no easy solution. jumping away would be your best bet i guess because not many mks expect that. but i mean...dont do it a lot or you get punished. you can get punished for anything you do so be careful and mix it up A LOT

killing...if you get him offstage then bair is good...if you do it too much he'll just start tornadoing from far away though so...mix it up lol. there are very few frame traps we have on mk since he has so many jumps and tornado and cape he'll never HAVE to fall through the air just all static like...

That is what I thought I was doing but I will try harder. Also quick question. At low percents a dthrow to shuttle loop works if I don't DI or DI towards him. If I think he is going to do that can I get a fAir off in time to beat out his shuttle loop? Or can I double jump toward him and fAir him out of the glide? Generally I DI away so I don't eat the shuttle loop. But maybe taking the shuttle loop is better than other things idk.

Bees!: don't use the character images, just type out the names, it clutters things up and makes it awkward.

Sil, I'm gonna IM you whenever I get the chance.
K, I'm not on AIM much but you'll probably catch me sometime in the next few days.

Don't try to beat the SL with a Fair at low %, the startup on the SL has invincibility frames. He is also approaching from just below you, away from the early hitboxes of Fair.

But it might work sometimes, depends how technically sound the MK is. If he times it right he will be safe and a Fair will make you MORE likely to get hit from your extended hitboxes.

Using your second jump may be a bad idea, if you read wrong or miss with your attack it sets you up to be juggled, remember that against MK you want to be on the ground as much as possible.

Other options:
MK has a couple options to follow up a low % Dthrow, the primary ones are:
Dthrow < Dash < SL - ROB is generally ok after this, you get knocked away with some damage but there are worse things. Afterwords the MK will cancel his glide and try to catch up and juggle you, but you've got space from the MK so its a normal fight back to the ground.

Dthrow < Dash < Regrab - Only really works if you airdodge or he Pshields your attack, so just don't be predictable after Dthrow, once you've airdodged you can still try to beat it with a Dsmash when you land. Getting regrabbed is bad because it sets up for another Dthrow < Followup.

Dthrow < Fair - You're lucky if this is what the MK follows up with, your airdodge or Fair can beat him, and if he does land it he will have a tougher time following up than his other options.

Dthrow < Nado - This is a B****, especially since you're at low % and it sets you up to be juggled. It beats all of our options that quickly return us to the ground, your best bet is to Double jump < Nair, but you know how hard that can be to land.

Hope this helps.

It does! Thanks a lot Sil :) I will try to apply this. This should really help. When I play MKs I really don't have much issues shutting down nados and with breversals and prediction I generally don't get juggled a whole lot. Also offstage when the MK went to kill me I think I killed him more than he killed me! The biggest thing he got me with were grab crazy dthrows. So thanks this should help me.

My bad. I was supposed to say "N". You know, when it's late, people start to get dumb, at least I do. And it's really late in Brazil now. D:

The Sage of Shadow said:
Kira beat you in tournament t0mmy, don't put him down

Also I guarantee you guys he is top 5 at least. Talk to socal
Why would you assume I put Kira down? He's my R.O.B. bud.
The tourney he beat me in I asked to be DQ'd because it was going to go past midnight and I needed to go sleep for, y'know, two MORE days of travel to Orlando after already traveling two days to get to AZ, so I didn't want to play.
I MM'd Kira the next day though to make up for it. I won 3-0.
And I'd agree with SoCal, Kira is legit, I'm tellin' everyone here that him and Jamnt0ast are good but none of these other R.O.B. players know this because they can't see past east coast boundaries.

Sneakytako is the best R.O.B. in the entire world by far. He is simply amazing. He invented the inverse Smash-canceled recharge, he beat Nick Riddle in not one but four money matches (he won $700 total) and has a degree in Nuclear Physics.

He taught me everything I know about R.O.B.

Sneaky for #1
(Sil for #1.75)
