SYNADDER Living Bolt Pokemon

ABILITY: Levitate

HP - 80
Attk - 40
Def - 80
SAttk - 130
SDef - 80
Speed - 100

Total - 510

Ht: 8ft Wt: 112lbs

Electric Fence - Special

BP - 40 , Acc - 80%, PP - 20

The pokemon creates a field of electricty around another pokemon, preventing the pokemon from switching out, as well as damaging them each turn.
Cool Pokemon; it's that Electric type sweeper with good defenses and Levitate to top it all off that we've always dreamed of. Electric Fence is a cool idea too; it's sort of an Electric-Fire Spin, yeah?

whats up with all the pokes having obscene BST's?

that guys has 580...which is reserved for legendary trios o_O
That brings to mind another recent trend, lowering the non-relevant attacking stat's number (in Synadder's case, Attack) to unusable levels in order to better round out the other stats while maintaining an average BST.

I have no idea what I want them to look like at the moment. Their playstyle, typing, and abilities are meant to reflect each other.

Terracer

Terreciel
Interesting Pokemon as well, they do mirror each other in playstyle. The new abilities are a bit odd, but I guess they work. It'd be nice to have a bit more flavor on them, though. I know you're not an artist, but since you gave them quite specific moves such as Dragon Dance and Bulk Up, surely you have some sort of idea of what exactly they are? They might make cool legendaries! Their movepools are off the chain (maybe a little too much).

And I dunno, I sort of have this opinion that Aura Sphere should be reserved for mystical, powerful Pokemon; Lucario and Togekiss sort of fit the bill, but I've been seeing Aura Sphere a lot lately.

I never wrote up a stat spread for this guy. I was thinking of this one, since we're in need of some more mediocre pokémon. I still don't know what ability it should have besides swift swim. I think Water/Steel would work best for its typing.

70 / 95 / 70 / 65 / 65 / 120

Edit: Kelvin is such a good name for Fire gym leader. I don't know how it hasn't been done before lol. I also love Alice as the ice gym leader.
It might be good to edit that stat info in to Curroknot's original post.

And thanks for your thoughts on the Gym Leader names! Maybe once we get the Gym rosters down (which will come after we consolidate the Dex...whenever that happens), we can vote on which to use. And also, you're right, we do need some mediocre Pokemon. :bee:

* * *

I'll be editing all the new Pokemon into the New Mega-Post probably at the end of the week. Keep the creative juices flowing, everyone!

well, synadder is based on being a "special" heracross actually...as they have the same attacking stats, only mixed between attk and special

oh, and Synadder has more speed and a tad high spec attack than heracross has attack

Oh really? You could make it Electric / Bug or something to compliment Heracross. The abilities are completely different, though, haha.

I edited it in to my post flyingfilipino :)

This is the lower level line that I've been thinking of for a while. I know there's a lot of monkeys floating around, but I just couldn't get the idea out of my head!

Apium
Type: Psychic
Ability: ?????
Stats: 45 / 40 / 40 / 60 / 40 / 50
Apium is a small monkey with mysterious powers. It can see the future and sense all things around it. Apium's psychic powers are still undeveloped, and his body is frail. There are faint signs of deep purple markings all across Apium's body.

Apeer

Type: Psychic
Ability: Levitate / ?????
Stats: 60 / 55 / 55 / 80 / 55 / 70
Apeer has developed his powers far more that Apium. He hovers around on a cloudy, dark, purple orb. Apeer is constantly meditating on his orb, striving to unlock the psychic powers that he knows lay deep inside him. The markings on Apeer's body have grown larger and brighter.

Apagus
Type: Psychic
Ability: Levitate / ?????
Stats: 85 / 65 / 60 / 110 / 65 / 90
Apagus has fully recognized his psychic potential. He has a long, flowing beard that reaches almost to the ground. The symbols on his body now glow a bright purple. The orb that Apagus floats on is bigger than Apeer's, and it can move with incredible speed with just a thought from Apagus.
(I originally planned for Apagus to be psychic/flying and to have him be wearing goggles, but I thought that might be too weird).

I suppose I've described them more as characters than common pokemon, but ehh whatevs :p I'm going to try to draw them again on thursday, but any and all help is welcome!

Nice Pokemon. Maybe Insomnia as a secondary ability? Or something like Limber or Immunity?

Also, Apium sounds too much like opium Aipom, in my opinion.

I love the idea, Moozle. Something about the presentation clicked with me. It'd be nice to know some of the line's attacks. I also agree with Terywj that the names are reminiscent of opium Aipom, and I personally think the concept seems a lot like Meditite, but maybe your drawings can change those perceptions. :)

I especially liked the bearded description of the final evolution. Something classy, which could appear very humorous given the animal it's based off of and possible stance. The descriptions are very accuracte in coordination with the typing though. Nice job. :)

I was originally imagining the final evolution as some wise, epic-looking sage, but now I think a slightly humorous depiction would be better since I don't want the stats to be very high. Making it less serious will also help change the names a bit so that they can be more unique. I'll see what I can come up with :)

Well, I thought I'd contribute a pokemon that's been on my mind for a long time (feel free to modify the base stats if they aren't as they should be, I'm still quite new at actually making base stats up)

Lumous
Fire/Bug
Ability: Flame Body/??? (perhaps Speed Boost)
Stats: 60 / 70 / 65 / 75 / 65 / 60

Lumous, the Firefly Pokemon. They usually swarm around farms to eat crops, which causes problems for farmers, since they also burn things down with their fire bodies. They are known for showing no emotions most of the time, leading professors to research what goes on in their brains every time an event happens.

Ehhh, this is my first pokemon that I've had to come up with the whole shiz up for and I'll see if I can post up some movesets and a drawing tomorrow

Feel free to tweak it up since I'm not sure if I did a good job with it or not :/

I'm guessing it evolves with base stats like those.

Then again GF has done worse....

ROHOBAID - hellfire pokemon

ABILITY - Ebon Void*

Appearance: It looks liek a larger, firey snake skeleton emerging from a rift, but with bony arms and claws (also on fire) holding it up

*Rohobaid lives in-between the distortion world and our world, and as such emerges from a "rift" when it enters the battlefield. This void below it carries any attacks that would-be harmfull to Rohobaid into it, nullifying super-effective damage into immunities.

Immunities:

Resists:

Neutral:

Base Stats: 30 / 120 / 140 / 120 / 140 / 116 Total : 666

It is able to learn moves such as sacred fire, shadow force and other nasty things...

To obtain it, you must have a Giratina in your party after beating the elite 4, then it will appear near mint mountain and caraway city at night.

It's insanely good, but a cool idea. I guess the ability is okay if it's meant for the ubers metagame, but I think it would be way less broken if you changed it so that super effective damage does neutral instead of nothing. Also, how big is Rohobaid?

Lumous is a firefly, right? So Illuminate would be a fitting albeit useless secondary ability.

Eh, I thought of giving it Illuminate, but doesn't it kinda do that with Flame Body. And the picture I'm thinking up has the fly actually on fire so that'd be pretty stupid.

And the fact that it's so useless is also kinda meh

I'm guessing it evolves with base stats like those.

Then again GF has done worse....
Yeah, I'm planning it on giving it either a second evo or perhaps the standard third. I wanted your opinions first though.

At the cost of such an ability I'd say Fighting- and Normal-types should deal supereffective damage to it. Reversing immunities and supereffective attacking types.

Wait, you're talking to JOE! right?

And I don't get what you people mean by saying that certain types should deal super effective damage to it. Aren't super effective moves set when you come up with the type? Like water should be able to deal x4 damage to my firefly thing because of the typing.

Cool, another Fire/Bug! A little bit more info would be great, ~Celebi~, such as some attacks that it could learn, and maybe what it looks like so that we might further be able to tweak it. But good start!

I like how just yesterday you were raving about absurd BSTs, and then suddenly come out with this. :psycho:

That said, it's a pretty cool idea; not sure if it's too strong or not, though. I see you tweaked its BST. Like I said before, that ability is kind of...ehhhh. Just how many "_______ World"s are there? :bee:

Also, neat connection to the region; though the connection to Giratina is kind of iffy, IMO. Speaking of the region, I might write a little something up about it in a bit.

Keep up the good work, folks!

And by "Cool, another Fire/Bug!" you were completely sarcastic right

And I said that sometime today I'd post up some pictures and movesets in the original post

That's why JOE!'s new Pokemon's ability seemed ridiculous. All supereffective hits become immunities is a bit much. Changing them to neutral hits would be much safer.

Not at all, ~Celebi~; it was a reference to something else I made earlier for the SWF-Dex: Thermite/Extermite, the other Fire/Bugs. And they seem different enough, too! Looking forward to the rest of the updates. Also, "Lumous" reminds me of "Luminoth".

Also, agreed, Terywj.

****, I suck at trying to see whether people are trying to be sarcastic or not on the internet

Anyways, if I do take a picture, it'll be low quality like all of my other drawings >.<

I was bored, so here's a short description of the region:

Tohoko

The region of Tohoko is located far away from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. (It is based loosely on the Tohoku region of Japan.) It is a relatively small region, but it is full of natural wonders, interesting landmarks, and of course, unique Pokemon.

Pestle Town is a small oasis located in the desert in the southeast corner of the region. The region's leading Pokemon professor, a specialist in fossils, resides here. Although the climate is mostly arid, the area supports a variety of life and houses many secret places. The Prehistoric Zone is located within the mountains to the west.

Mace Town is a bustling mining village located on the shore of Stratus Lake. It is accessible from Pestle Town by crossing a short canyon. Its surrounding high cliffs are rich in resources. The first Gym, specializing in the Ground type, is located here.

Fennel City is the eastern seaport of Tohoko, surrounded by gently rolling hills. The ocean breezes provide it with a refreshing climate, and the city itself has a pleasant atmosphere. The region's second Gym, specializing in the Flying type, is located here. The city is located next to a river that is key in transporting goods from other locations in the region and a bridge must be crossed to continue northward.

Cilantro City is located just outside a large forest and is surrounded by swamplands created by the nearby river. Regardless, it is a popular destination for travelers and full of interesting citizens (though there seems to be shady activity in places). The third Gym, specializing in the Poison type, is located here.

Mint Mountain is a quaint village located at a high altitude. Old traditions are still carried on here in ancient temples, even though the area is slowly becoming a tourist resort as well. Though the climate is cold and often snowy, the area is still teeming with life and serves as a gateway before the harsher mountain trail ahead. The fourth Gym, specializing in the Ice type, is located here.

After crossing the difficult trail through the mountains, the altitude lowers and Caraway City is accessible. It is an old town partly built into the mountain face, surrounded by mystery and superstition. It even contains the remnants of an ancient underground stronghold. The fifth Gym, specializing in the Dark type, is located here.

Cayenne City is located at the end of a long, scenic route leading from the mountains. As the western seaport of the region, it is also the largest city and a bustling metropolis. Modern culture thrives here, as do establishments of fine cuisine. It is also home to a popular resort located on the beaches that border the bay. The sixth Gym, specializing in the Fire type, is located here.

Sage Town is an isolated, traditional village located deep within a vast forest in the center of the region. It is accessible by river from other locations in the region. The people that live here hold on to ancient traditions and strive to be connected to nature. There are many scenic temples and towers located in the surrounding area, and the mysterious forest is home to a great variety of Pokemon. The seventh Gym, specializing in the Grass type, is located here.

Tarragon City is located across the bay from Cayenne City, but it is not as large due to it being slightly geographically isolated from the rest of the region. Here, tradition and modern culture blend together to create an interesting atmosphere to live in. The coastline is home to a fishing village and a partly submerged ancient temple. The eight and final Gym, specializing in the Dragon type, is located here.

Anyways, something tells me I may have given this pokemon waaay too many moves (for a pokemon that evolves once more I've decided). In which case, I ask you guys to help me out here if anything sounds out of line.

Picture will come later. I'm too tired atm. Perhaps I'll start on it in an hour.

Shaymin? Base 100 all around is completely respectable for a Legendary Pokemon.

Shaymin-S? It has wings on his head. Of course his base Speed is going to be high.

Psh, does Shaymin look adept to have 100 base stats all around? Hell no, but he does anyways

So if Lumous should have weaker base stats than Shaymin, then Wynaut?

Alright, cool. I'm working on a hilarious Steel / Ground Pokemon. It's going to be quite imbalanced, but not as much as JOE!'s recent submission. :p
shh

Dragon rage will 1HKO it every time :p

sides, it has a BST of 666...

you expect it to be nice and balanced? XD

Guys guys, we all know that my Lumous will beat both your pokemon

If I learned anything from the anime is that extremely weak pokemon are capable of taking down pokemon x100 times larger than them.
