Also, this is late, but getting ***** by PP is fairly normal
NC is kind of Falcon Country [or it was], we all played Falcon at one point.
Now we all play falco :troll:

but in all seriousness
PP is too good

Again
Nc is kind of a family. We do a lot of things the same way others do.
While that's good and creates a really great community, it can also get really silly.
Like a lot of our players play similarly, at least in certain situations.

You but the tourny I went to was pretty small, yet Slaher, PP, Cam, Bden, and a couple more Falcos were there. HOW WAS I SUPPOSE TO BEAT THESE FALCOS

Edit: sneak was there too.

What tournament was that?
And yeah, but again, it all comes down to getting that character v character knowledge so you can go player v player.

Falco will always be a horrible MU, so you'll have to fight player v player.
Unfortunately that's kind of what NC is good at lol

for abate refer to that essay that wenbobular wrote, pretty good and i learned from it vs luigi

macd is an aggressive peach and I suggest camping him and sticking to fundamentals

he will clip you with dash attack a lot, downsmash on platforms, space for 1.5 peach sizes

For those of you confused on how to play against a Peach
This is a good mid-level match to watch

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6q5FMZGFZI&feature=related

Poehlcat is really good and one of my favorite smashers atm
He does a lot of really good stuff, and a lot of bad, which is why this is a good match to watch.
Though he doesn't JC grab, which confounds me

Anywho
Watch it
Learn it
Be better

Good luck guys, I'm rooting for all of you who are at G2

GG7 vs MacD moneymatch from DGDTJ is like, the current book on how to play the matchup, imo

EDIT: aside from SilentSpectre vs Armada, that is... I don't think anyone could have done what Jeff did

Big Luigi post (some most posts after it)
http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=12971611&postcount=226

Sparknotes version:

Punishes on recognition
uncharged side-b's offstage = knee
tornado on shield -> stop close by = knee
early aerial on shield - Nair or Uair

Space around Nair when comboing
Just hit him with the tips of your feet <_<

DI
To his back when he's on the ground, away when he combos you
If you forget this just make sure you DI the finisher because Luigi is weak as ****

Respect his CC
Especially if you suck at DIing downsmash <_< another reason why using Knee and stomp are sometimes better than using Nair

Safe zone - right outside his aerial range
Don't dash back if you don't feel safe, just make sure to stay less than 1 wavedash away while staying out of aerial range

Always shield when in misfire trajectory
Just do it <_<

DUMB LUIGI THINGS THAT MOST PEOPLE FALL FOR
One wavedash away -> he'll probably try to wavedash Ftilt you, just shield and **** him <_<
Letting him back when he charges missiles - just jump out and kill him >_>
He's awkwardly in the air falling down - WATCH OUT FOR THE DOWN-B!!!

I can't think of anything else

If you don't remember anything, just remember how to punish the things I listed as punishments on recognition ... when you see how laggy his moves are just kill him haha

ESPECIALLY UNCHARGED SIDE B
If nothing else
Just kill him when he's doing ****ty uncharged side-b's
Every
Single
Time

That's probably enough to beat most Luigis anyway :awesome:

Somehow this post turned out to be longer than the one I posted, but there's probably less writing in it so whatever

Hey guys
I have a feeling

Wenbo really hates Luigi
Or really hates people losing to Luigi

Edit:
Just watched GG7 vs MacD, love this video
It's good stuff
but kind of lopsided, at least in that video

Ugh I hate to keep spamming the thread with irrelevant Luigi discussion but I really want to clarify a few things in that post >___> sorry guys

tornado on shield -> stop close by = knee
Tornado hitting your shield -> he doesn't stop close by = wd oos -> dash and grab him. Tornado hitting your shield is really unsafe. But you could probably figure this out just by looking at it

DI
To his back when he's on the ground, away when he combos you
Super important to DI his uthrow behind him at low percents. Falcon is super heavy so this is pretty easy

Don't dash back if you don't feel safe, just make sure to stay less than 1 wavedash away while staying out of aerial range
If you really want to retreat for some reason consider doing it while jumping, like doing a retreating sh bair/stomp, or maybe jumping away to a platform if one is available.

One wavedash away -> he'll probably try to wavedash Ftilt you, just shield and **** him <_<
or dsmash.. that's also really common... you can knee a dsmash on your shield, though the timing is weird.

Oh, Gentleman? Okay Wenbo, I'll keep that in mind :troll:

In all seriousness
uthrow->dsmash may work on spacies around 80% if they don't hard DI away

Dsmash is mad weak though

Not when they know how to hold a direction and tech ...

...I guess that's asking too much of like 75% of the community though so I guess that qualifies as like, stupidly good

Again because it's too low of a percent to fsmash
And you're right Wenbo, if they're DIing correctly they won't be able to get hit.
And you'd be surprised what's common knowledge and what isn't.

Winston I like to finish off as quickly as possible, so if it is possible to get the stock at 80 as opposed to 100]fsmash]/110[knee], then I want that :p

do you guys really not uthrow fsmash?

thats like, a staple of killing spacies with falcon, and definitely works around 80

i uthrow dsmash for fun sometimes if theyre high enough %, punting em right off the screen

If they're at too low of a percent to f-smash they're also too low to d-smash. I already said they're the same speed. F-smash actually starts hitting a frame before d-smash but doesn't hit far enough in front to match d-smash's range until the 2nd hit frame making them equal, except if they slightly DI in f-smash could hit when it first comes out and work earlier than d-smash.

If you do an up angled f-smash it's even stronger and will kill outright or send too far to recover when it starts working around 80 unless you're hitting them back across the middle of a wide stage.
