-------------=Falcon's Shield Pressure Data=-------------
Comment: I apologize for my long absence from these boards. However, I will now commence documenting the shield pressure options the various characters in this game have. This section is Captain Falcon's. I might add the frame data on the Dair as well, but testing rendered it less viable than Bair or Knee anyway due to being slower and having less shield stun and more lag.

Red = No Shield stun
Green = Shield stun

if i'm reading your charts correctly then this confirms what M2K's been telling me lately: a perfectly timed SH knee (so that it hits the very bottom of their shield) lets you grab them before they can shieldgrab you (since you have a 2 frame advantage)

thats ****

knee grab and knee gentleman mixups are his main forms of shield pressure. when I get home (monday) I'll be able to tell you the actual IASA on gentleman, but if you want to test it just perform it as fast as possible while only pressing a for 1 frame to input the first two jabs, then hold A for the third one and then input a left dash and then a right dash every other frame to see when it actually cancels. you have to keep holding A through until the dash goes through tho

Bamesy? Damn, where have you been bro?

:phone:
Taking over the world. ;)
Literally, and in a very strange way. (warning, year story approaching)
Basically, I've spent the last 5 years of my life dedicating my life towards bettering others with the philosophy that 'No matter how good I get myself, it will never match how good collectively others can get through me.'

Naturally, this translates into collecting everything that could possibly help an individual improve on something and every method on every level of doing so, with means of having it to share with others and connect them all and share everything we all know with everyone else, to become the best everyone else can be.

Through this process, I've found some of the greatest treasures life can offer, and in my search to find more, have found that every individual or cluster of goodness and amazing heart lifting people and ideals are all connected in some way. It's all there. I don't need to make anything from nothing myself, like the way I always have before. They simply need to find each other.

All of the pieces have been falling into place for a long time, or at least into view for us all to put in place, and things are moving towards a greater intuition and enlightenment in individuals and communities and globally more than ever.

I used everything I had to the best of my ability to do the best I can for the better of all, and with that, found a way that I know will make the differences on every level. Collective improvement at a world level at it's highest level, hoping my efforts can keep me strong as I light the way.

Long story short...
Saving the worldShowing the world how amazing it already is and how much more amazing it can will be.... one smile at a time. :)

PS: Music awesomeness and crazy shenanigans ranging from teaching people to cook beets on the street, taking over a beach area by cleaning it constantly and blowing peoples minds in many weird ways... always with the band or other awesome people. Our first show is going to be Shambhala next weekend... 12000 people or some crap hahaha

Smashwise, I haven't been anywhere for it since RoM3 last Nov where I basically needed to get Sion out of Van and get him to see smash in a new light to save the Vancouver smash scene... at least for a while as I knew I was leaving.

Successfully too, but I've been called by my old teamziez partner and my new teamziez partner to step into the game again and come to something in late August.

So I'm back, for a while, though I'll never truly been gone anyway. :)

that 2011 ****
It took Peach until 2010 to abuse free FC'd Fairs on shield > grab.
2011, Falcon gets his? Peeps around here don't even like free Shinegrabs enough yet. :p

gunna steal knee --> grab

thanks

great find

even if you don't do it perfect if you knee --> gentleman a lot they'll probably hold block when you do knee--> grab
Still gotta space that crap really good. It ain't THAT free.
A tomahawk or whatever (empty jump) grab is juicy, but it works because people expect aerials... or something.
People WILL see the knee coming... and Nairs/Shines/whatever OOS are quite common at that sight.
Along with proper shield DI
Remember, THIS IS TWO THOUSAND ELEVEN STUFF! PEOPLE WILL SHIELD DI PROPERLY NOW OHHHH SHIIIIIIII

Wiseman (or whoever else)
This might be weird/not make sense to test...
But could you somehow get the frames of this type of thing
1. Aerial on shield
2. DASH AWAY/THROUGH
3. THEIR grab...
And somehow see how safe Aerial > DASH AWAY FROM OOS STUFF
really is? :)

also stomp on shield is fine if you do it right but don't expect a free stomp --> grab

its pretty good pressure and if you don't mess it up ur not gunna get shield grabbed

I don't understand how to read this :S what does it mean when there are two numbers? I know the left side is frames...

I'm kinda with Windrose on this one
I'm not sure about the whole two numbers stuff

But Bamsey that's actually kind of why I made the index thread
Was that same philosophy

seems like the numbers to the right are supposed to show how many frames it takes without the hitlag or something

no, you can get away with anything that's done low. Just because there are some frames that they aren't in stun for near the end of some moves doesn't mean they are unsafe. Keep in mind most characters OOS options take ~7 frames at least to start up; you can gentleman or dash away before they come out. Throw in some spacing and most stuff works just fine.

I don't understand how to read this :S what does it mean when there are two numbers? I know the left side is frames...
The numbers on the left are the elapsed frames as normal, and the ones on the right are the elapsed frames but ignoring the frames of hitlag (because during that time both characters are frozen in place).

All that really matters is how many consecutive red frames there are before/between/after the moves.

Can someone explain how knee has 12 frames of shield stun (from manually counting)? Shieldstun and hitlag can't take place on the same time right? Isn't the shieldstun formula floor{[(4.45 + Damage) / 2.235]}, and knee does 18 damage, so isn't that 9 frames of shieldstun?
