Someone should, over night, go through this whole thread, and make an organized list of each person's twitter, as well as best or 2nd best way(s) of contacting them

i would do it but im bout to head to bed (so i can be on a good sleep schedule for college)

(all in 1 organized post if possible)

then we go HAM (or i will simply go through and message them all 1 by 1 myself when i wake up)

melee is a wonderful game that I haven't played seriously in years

if it was at Evo that may be interesting and I would consider going

it's weird how much you guys want me to like help out tho when I've had nothing to do with the community in so long. also I'm out of town until 31st

I think people want anyone to help our cause, but you especially bc you have experience with competitive melee. Is there a reason you've stayed away from it for years?

Another Speedrunner I haven't seen mentioned yet is iateyourpie. He mainly streams Paper Mario (current WR holder for All Cards, i.e. beat every chapter), though he's been picking up Galaxy 2, and he's been gaining popularity over the last few weeks. His viewership is around the same area as Trihex's stream from what I can tell, and he has mentioned Melee a few times in passing before, so he might be interested in helping. He's been working to get his viewership up over the last couple weeks, so I'm sure the chance to expand his viewer base would be of interest to him.

Anyone of this site would probably help because they are mostly Nintendo fans.
http://speedrunslive.com/

These are some notable streamers
http://www.twitch.tv/samura1man
http://www.twitch.tv/goronguy
http://www.twitch.tv/demoon9

They also have a chat channel on their website which might be easier to contact them.

Yes, yes, yes to all of these guys. I believe they each have their own twitter too, let me get them up.

Samura1man: https://twitter.com/Samura1man
GoronGuy: https://twitter.com/GoronGuy
demoon9: https://twitter.com/Demonen9

There. I don't know IF they're well versed in the Smash scene, but the cause itself (donating to Brease Cancer Research) should potentially get their interest.

If you're going for Game Grumps I'd suggest talking with Barry (their video editor/social media manager) because these guys have their videos recorded, edited, and scheduled days in advance and there's not much time left.
If we get a shoutout on their Facebook page or something it would be great.

You're a popular figurehead, dude! People outside the Smash community circles who love Nintendo respect you, so your word is important and could help a lot. You're influential amongst the other speed run folks, too... AND you have a knowledge of competitive smash, even if you lapsed from playing seriously.

Even an encouraging tweet, or an encouragement to other SRL folks (maybe an Evo-related bingo/race/whatever) would be a massive help.... plus it's all for charity!

I watch you whenever you stream, I don't think you realize how helpful you can be to the Smash community right now. We love you even though you stopped playing, Cosmo, and we love you and support you in what you're doing with your time right now. So how about throwing some love and support back to us? Just this one time? We would really appreciate it, man. :)

It all also goes towards breast cancer research, too, so you would be doing something for a good cause at the same time.

I just know if you streamed on Thursday, playing Wind Waker or whatever you feel like and had a donation link in an obvious spot and mentioned it every so often you could be a great deal of help to us. Even tweeting about it would do wonders for us. Just something, Cosmo!

And we'd also be really understanding if you don't want to be involved. So if you can't do it, it's understandable dude.

I used to upload tons of zelda oot videos and some melee vids, ill upload a vid about this when I get home...

Food for thought, if we make a legitimate but basic informative video that people could dl and just upload instead of having to make one themselves it may also encourage participation. Some people might not have the energy to make one but feel like helping... its a nice option to provide

Do you think the guys from Rooster Teeth would help? I remember them talking highly of SSB and they could definitely add on to the cause.

If you make a good video, you should post it as its own thread for anyone to DL and then reuse.

We should also jump on deviantart and tumblr, especially since they could provide donation-commissions or art-streams if they're really for the cause.
Off the top of my head, big names I can think of who might be sympathetic to the cause, in descending order of probability, are SigurdHosenfeld, Sage-of-Winds, Fugiri-Shi, NikoAnesti, thweatted, purplekecleon.
If anyone knows them, or is a recognizable part of their fanbase, or just has no shame, should ask them for help.

Oh yeah, SwordlessLink and parax0 are twitch names that might help.

I don't have a twitter, but I have reached out to various deviantart groups:
Nintendo-Boys, Gamecube-Gamers, Gamecube-Lovers, Nintendo-Girls, Nintendo-Fanatics, Lovers-of-Nintendo, SmashBrosForever, Nintendo-Fangroup, TheSuperSmashClub, nintendo-fc, Nintendo-Princesses

But what would probably be easier, faster, and even more effective is going straight to the galleries. If you're an artist, you could do a speedpaint or something in support of the drive (or just repurpose an old one) and submit it.

Also, someone (everyone) should tweet SuperPsyguy about SSBM being in the running. He retweeted LittleKuriboh's tweet, but that didn't even mention that there is competition. He's likely to support both if he knows, and his fanbase will definitely prefer SSB.
