watch and learn from higher level samus players, and ask any questions if you have trouble understanding somthing, also it is good to record, re watch your matches and learn from your mistakes, if you do not understand how to hook up a VCR to record smash just ask, i do it all da time.

Nova looks very pretty cause he is technical, but a less cool looking samus like...wes can be better then him, Hylian also has a very pretty samus now, but i still see him making mistakes, do not be judge mental until you post and responces from sevral people, then you will know the honest results of how ur samus is coming along, take advice we give out on these forums and try to use it, there is a lot of good information on the Smash World Forums, anyway we are looking forword to your video post, i will rate it when you post it.
As a side note:

For all those viewers out there in internet land, take note. This is the ideal college sentence. Notice the abundance of commas and lack of periods. This block of thought is much better in clumps than divided up into complete sentences, because. Just because. I just thought I'd just drop and and point that out.

More to the point, he's right. Everyone has different play styles; some are more ascetically pleasing than others, while still not preforming well. Just because you can't SWD 3 times in a row to a jab doesn't mean you are bad, and just because you can doesn't mean you are good. It all comes down to the general plan of "Does it win?" If it does, then it works. And if it works on a lot of people, then you are good.

Match #1 your samus started playing better at the last 2 stock, you need to work on spacing DI, and learn more tactics, samus has a slow grab, sheild grabbing is not the smartest thing, Up B out of shield helps a lot, just do not use it on captain falcon, you will learn why later, up tilt makes a very good edge gaurd(hold up while standing and press A), and if you do this really fast, it is also a good edge gaurd, waver dash onto ledge, ledge hop, Nair, because of the time u grab the edge, you have invincability frames for a little while(you are flashing a bit and no one can hit you), and try to get all your L cancles, samus has good combat on the ground.

Match #2 to edge hog, while on the edge press R or L, this will make you roll onto the stage and almost imposable to hit through this time, no ones up B will hit you, and at the same time as you are rolling, it still counts as if you are holding the edge, they can not grab it. get better at sweet spoting the edge, go only enough in ur recovery hardly to grab it, also if your opponent rolls a lot and you know it, wait for him and hit him right as his rolls end, read your opponent more, you also need to add mind games to your playing style, do not be predictable, i do a lot of mixed dash dancing and wave dashes etc. punish an opponent for doing a laggy atack like up smash, Fsmash etc. one again much better at the end.

work on these things for not, you are doing well for adding advanced techniques into ur style, it is a long phase most of the time. also post your title of the match like...for example AIDS(Pichu) vs Sl1th(Samus)

you should post under your smashboards names, but keep playin and try to practise the things mentioned above.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=pn6J07XAFkY vs Chad (Fox)

Those two actually happened within like 10 minutes of each other, they're from the loser's semis and loser's finals from the same tournament. The first is vs a technically sound but kinda inexperienced Fox who doesn't get a lot of Samus practice. The second is vs one of my crewmates, who obviously has a lot more Samus experience, as well as being just a much better player overall.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=q4yOGysPTkA vs MookieRah (Marth)
Also from the same tournament.
A quick note: You seem to over commit yourself to your actions sometimes, especially when you are doing missile techniques. You got abused from it a couple times in your matches.

Utilt makes an amazing edge gaurd, but you should not use it like you do in terms of spacing, faster fox's will abuse and **** you when u do that, it is better to use Ftilts. i don't understand mookierah not playing mewtwo over marth, i think he was sand bagging..... and during ur match against him your spacing as a lot better, good work and congrats on your placing in the tournament.

MookieRah is stuck in middle Mississippi most of the time, so he hasn't been to tournaments very often lately. Also, I have a lot of Mewtwo practice vs Iori, and.... Iori's M2 is better than Mookie's. >_> That may sound presumptuous, but Mookie would tell you the same thing, and he knows I <3 him.

As for the utilt, I've never really seen any other Samus use it for anything except edgeguarding and shield pressure, but I find it really effective as a defensive attack against tons of characters, especially space animals. It hits later than the ftilt, but it only lags 5 frames more, so it's not really a big deal. And the above and in front of you, as well as the timing of the hit being so weird, can really throw off Fox/Falcos, even those who try to be really careful in their approach.

My first tourney match posted online. This was the last match of finals at Tha-Shodown tourney that I threw togather. I lost the set and match but I still think it's a good match none-the-less. Well tell me what you guys think:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKsd7voyWWg

The guy I'm going against name is Iori and he's I think number 2 in the mid-south right now.

I think I know where I screw up twoards the end where I lose my fire. I start doing repeated DSmashes and I miss a wave shield (I didn't know how to do one at the time of the tourney). Tell me what you guys think, thank you

ESAM: Work on not trying to dash attack so much, it's good but approach with something else sometimes. Same with you nair, good but maybe used it too much. Nice use of spot dodging. And It's not good to JC grabs with Samus, (Mute City-1.53) they're slower. I think they also have less reach? Not sure correct if wrong. At 2.13 why did you fire away from him?......jk, lol. And basically it's usually good to grab onto the edge.......except on Battlefield you might have guessed. Grabbing worked well against the other people you played, but Chu's ICs, I don't think so. Good job on doing so well vs Chu btw. Good luck in future matches against him.

Over all, real good. Just work on you predictability with you dash attacks and nairs and you should improve a bit.

This might be asking alot, but could you organize this thread so that the videos are listed on the front page (new ones makes with *new). And then link to the posts where people have critiqued them? This would make it easier to sift through the thread and find useful info and the appropriate critiques.

Videos are to be critiqued here, u post, we responed, they leave, if they wish to have a thread for there own matches or videos they may do that, but this is not a thread to reply to a video that was critiqued over a year ago. We are good for answering to people as they post there video, but i do not think this request is worth it, im pretty sure people get answers right away and dont wanna be looking here forever to find responces that continue forever.

This thread is fine the way it is.

This thread could also become a video archive. Why not just have all the videos in the first post?

And even though no one critiqued my other samus videos, here are some new ones:

u can make one for yourself, but the samus forums is not a place to post them, u can make on in another area in the threads. samus forums are just to busy since samus is such a...unique Charecter lol

p.s. GG's lotsa SD's lol, your fox seems to peform better, but your samus is pretty fast, but you like postion yourself for tippers a lot, i think if u stalled more on the edge after recovery marth would lose focus and u would recover, thats what i found in my gameplay, and u almost always rush up with a Fair, all marth hasto do is wavedash back then Fsmash right? i just think it would help make ur stock more long lasting, like real samus players, like u guys did a match in less then 3 minutes! lol samus shouldn't die that fast lol. but very good, your samus is more fun to watch then most.

lol yes i saw that previose closed thread, i know what you are saying, but not in the "samus forums" like put it in another section made for your matches alone, not just your samus, not just your fox, but for all your matches, a lot of players make these threads and i think it would be the best thing to do for you.

Aside from sding almost half your lives away, I would say use more u-tilts (don't think you had any!). And maybe edgehog more? I think crouch canceling was in too much abundance as well.

getting a Utilt on marth is not as easy as like...fox, he tens to rush and try to look flashy, his samus style is good, but once and a while he does somthing that was not the best option.

Ok from what I've seen this guy knows you pretty well. I'm sure you guys played often so he's adapted to ur style. One thing I did not see at all was not even one grab. True Samus's grab is slow as hell, but doesn't limit you to not doing it. He took advantage of that, and everytime he missed an attack he'd block, and you'd either attack for a shield grab or try to get out of range. A well spaced running grab after one of his many neutral A's would've stops that shielding of his, or tricked him up enough to try and do it. Be alittle bit more aggressive too, he left alot of openings you could've taken advantage of but didn't cause u WD away from him. And alittle UpTilt pressure would've baited him to a NAir or FAir also.

You also SD'd alot, which always brings ur opponents moral up greatly. When doing something like that, ur opponent can feel you're being intimidated and will seem like he knows your every move so try to prevent alot of that.

The positives where your edgeguarding skillz against him. Alot of the KO's you got were from edgeguarding and you played better after it everytime (ur moral went up it seemed).

That's all what I seen from the three matches anyways.

2 00:54 tip Bair would be most effective, you are very technicl but leave yourself open a lot, nice missle spaming, and i think you could work on your aproach, but nice finish at the end! lol GG's

Here are some vids of me from last night.

Anyway, even those these are just some friendlies, they should be more than enough to claim Hylian's self-appointed fastest Samus title.

Samus vs Falcon on YS He got super lucky at the very end.
Samus vs Fox on Poke Lots of mistakes on both sides.

Samus vs Ganon on FoD I guess neither of us have tech skill.
Samus vs Ganon on FD Fail.

I can put up some more later if people like these. Also, don't tell me not to edgehop into the opponent's smashes, I'm just ******** like that I guess.

he looks like he is just whoring his range.
attacking after you dodge a laggy attack was working for you. you also seem to do well at blasting him with missles. look for opportunities to bat him away and get a decently charged shot (not necessarily a full one). lure him into any of his aerial attacks and out range and out prioritize him with the shot.

EDIT
i'll jump on the bandwagon
me vs undr - if it looks like undr is just standing there taking it, then he was trying to powersheild

The problem with me is I only get to play at tournaments with where I live, and the only time I practice tech skill is when I make a video, so when I do play, I have a mental picture of what I want to happen beforehand, and it's kind of a crapshoot from there. So things like missing a pivot (ie, dash-attacking away from my foe) I don't need too much feedback on, but if I am leaving any intentional habits in my gameplay which aren't good, some fresh eyes could help:
