idk how it works, from what I saw, he was using diddy/ROB/Pit/Lucaus and maybe 2 more. But he hardly stayed one character in his matches.

I'd like to point out that during the month of October, about 43% of all first placements used Meta Knight.

And if NinjaLink -seriously- used Random, but he seemingly did not.
I think it's fair to say that the characters he used in the FINALS that he WON WITH should be the ones considered.

So you're saying Diddy and and R.O.B.? Sounds reasonable.

I guess 43% of first placements being Meta Knight is just LULZ when 3/5 of other tournaments don't have him as first.

But hey, he's gone up 10% since last month. Let's see what he's like by the end of October and around midway through November.

Random is TOO GOOD. Random counters every character! Random is great on every stage! Ban random!

No it's not. There's a good probability that no matter what character I pick, I will counter pick random. You can't counterpick random at 100% efficiency, but you have a decent chance of doing it. The only difference is you won't know if you counter picked it until your match begins. Let's say I picked Peach and they pick random and get olimar. I didn't technically "counterpick' it but I get the same advantage of counterpicking. The only difference is that the advantage of counterpicking isn't based on character knowledge but chance, but the advantage is still there. Now let's say my main is Snake, who will be advantaged to 80% of the cast. Your chances of random counterpicking snake are there but extremely low, so if snake lost the match, and you go random, then you end up getting ganon, you still got counterpicked. It just decreases the chances of being counterpicked.

Yeah, I know you can pick a good character and statistically probably beat random, but it's still a potential threat in the sense that you always risk seeing your worst matchup when you pick against random. I pick random and you pick Pit let's say. Now, if I get Ganon, you "counterpicked" on me, but what if I get Mr. Game & Watch? Then did I "counterpick" you despite having won the previous match? If I know I have a few good characters you have sure thing win counterpicks on, random might actually be a smart choice for me. My odds of coming out on top are low, but they are better than the 0% I might assume if you get the matchup you want.

Of course, that earlier post was just kidding. The odds of winning out of random if you're like most people and only good with a few characters are so low that the idea of picking it is just amusing.

When Sadaharu Inui and JesiahTEG played in brackets this is what happened:

I liked that set. And yeah, Jesse only pulls out MK when Neil counterpicks Norfair or something.
