We really need moar Lucas mains here.
I know they did the match-up on their boards recently and I think had it as neutral.

The main point of this post is to tell everyone that the chart is updated on post 3, with the agreed match-up numbers put in an easy enough way to read.
I did that remember?

I disagree with 50:50 on IC's, it should be more like 60:40 to IC's. But that's just my opinion to a mixed opinion of 2 boards... right?

I disagree with Marth being that big of a counter I'd say 55:45 at most.. olimar is a LOT tougher than him imo

My character can do this and Sonic is bad. 70/30, Marf's favor.

It's not that big a deal really, it's not like these "ratings" are completley accurate in real matches.

Marth outranges you in every single move. Defensive Marth = 65:35 disadvantage. Offensive Marth = 60:40 disadvantage, defensive Marth owns offensive Marth. He can really just stay in place constantly brick walling with F-air, D-tilt, F-tilts and moves like that.

Olimar isn't as hard. He just seems more annoying because of his size, which makes him hard to SH approach. His grabs aren't as good as against other characters. Sonic can run trough his grabs. Smashes are a pain, but ASC > Olimars smashes.

I personally think ROB is much harder than we credit though. I feel that's a legit 60/40, but we have 55/45. Ah well, I generally stay out of these discussions because I don't know too many matchups besides people on WiFi (which is NOT a legit way to base off matchups) however, I play 2 great ROBs reguarly and one of them just placed top 5 in a tournament we went to of 34 entrants...so I know he's good, lol.

rob is ALOT harder than the matchup thread credits him for. but oh well....no1 plays good robs so they speak on their experience of how easy it is to beat bad opponents. i still havent beaten NLs rob with sonic...once. and i feel like im playing the match **** near perfect. but whats done is done...i think MK and marth are closer to even then peach is. but no1 listens to malcolm.

Sonic's biggest advantage is the difficulty he gives Lucas when trying to land a KO. I generally feel very unsafe when using anything slower than ftilt simply because Sonic is That Fast(TM). I'd imagine your best best is to not let up with pressure and use your speed to punish everything you can.

I think I'm forgetting something...I'll edit this later if I remember it.

ICs are at a 45:55 against us if it makes you feel better.

Uhm... no. You still have to be looking out, or the next thing you know you'll be flying to the ceiling faster than you can run Final Destination. It is true that you are free to go wild since all of Lucas' killmoves are highly unsafe against Sonic, but that doesn't mean they lose their power.

Ahaha i know just imo after all. I fight marf on a daily basis so i just find it easier. Not noob marth players either lol. And yes ROB is a lot harder i fight my bros a bit and its very hard to beat him with shawnic :/

Only once you've taken about 70% damage or so. Otherwise, you'll hit the ceiling a fraction of a second later than you would reach the end of FD. :p

Lucas nair is good for combos, rack up damage and eat shield, but has low priority
we Lucas players have different playstyles, some use nair, and other use dair, i'm a nairer, while some others like Tyr are dairers lol

Haven't played a Lucas in a good while. But they don't seen too tough.

I don't think you have to worry too much about Lucas' side B spam. It's not as annoying as Ness' IMO.
Watch out for his Usmash. It's slow as ****, but it's **** strong. Don't roll into it, don't d-air into it. They might try to use it as a surprise approach. So watch out! Don't try to side step it. Just dash/roll away. Or shield if you think it's too late.

N-air - This move can be autocancelled, I think. And can be followed by a jab, Utilt, Ftilt, and Dtilt(maybe?). Maybe a Fsmash if you're too slow. It's a multi-hit move and can be spammed if autocancelled. It can rack up some nice damage. No clue on the priority of this move. Never used to use Utilt. So it might beat that move. I dunno.

Watch out for b-air/d-air spikes.

Can't get much from me. =(

Hey can someone test this out for me.
After releasing an opponent from a grab (into the air) I've been managing to chase after them and Fair them before they manage to attack me./ Of course a few characters end up too high and far away.

I've also managed to regrab a few MK's after an air release.
Mind you they'll pop into the air as long as they hit anything that isn't down. Just need to see if someone can verify this for me since I have no humans here to use. >_>
