Hi quick question. I had textures working just fine, but I realized I needed pac files for Pokemon Trainer and I figured I might as well get the pacs for everyone. So I downloaded lz77ex and dragged and dropped all my textures into it to create pcs.out files and then renamed them all as pac files. Now my textures aren't working at all. Any suggestions?

You're using both the .pcs and the .pac files, right?

Did you manually close the program when it said files opened? Because it automatically closes when its done or it says press any button to continue. You should never press the exit button. Give me the file sizes you have for the .pac's (pcs's can differ in size, pac's never do)

Ah, I think I see the problem. Yeah, I manually closed it. All of them are under 100KB. Now I have go redo all those then I guess. Thanks for the help though.

Edit: Alright, new problem. I waited until the program said "Press any key to continue" and out came a 921KB pcs.out. I tried renaming and running it, but still no textures.

I've been setting up CSPs using the program and all, and I have the character screen stuff show up fine (i.e. char#_big)

However, all of the char#_small ones I have setup never load/are seen in game, and I'm wondering whether or not this hasn't become supported yet, or I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks.

Last I heard, small csps do not work. Granted, this was a decent while ago, but I somehow doubt it's changed.

Weird, your using lz77ex.exe right??? 921 means you are using..... Mario. Got an AIM, I can try to help you out there.

Oh and small CSP's work. Shaya, this is how you should do it:

characterX_small.tga, rename to character1_small.tga

Output it and get the .brres inside the info\portrite directory. Then copy it over, and it should be named like this:

InfFace.YY1.brres, rename it to:
InfFaceYYX.brres, where the X is the number it would have been at the end.

Enjoy :), it should get them working. You need file replacement 1.3 or later to see any CSP's or HUD's

I saw that some hacked wii's had the roster character selection different, they had textures enabled and every time you changed color/costume (clicking "Y" or "X") the character would change positions and would show the textures. Some wii's have the texture hack but dont always get a costume/texture in gameplay, nor do the characters change positions when changed colors. Its never consistent, some matches have them and others don't.

Whats up with that?

I cant see them on my selection screen, its the normal colors just that when you start the fight, theres a chance the character changes textures. my version is 3.3 idk if 3.4 has that exlusively, the SD card (bought) originally came 3.4 as default but was also changeable to 3.3

Nah, CUPASH is a program to be able to convert .tga files into the files you need to edit the portraits. You need to make 128x160 portraits for the character selection thing and you need to find common5.pac and all the infFace.brres's and then extract them, then you can run step2 to get the files, the folders go in pf, and you should have system and menu for large CSP's, info for small ones.

well, they are portraits, and most characters still have atleast one normal portrait so you can copy paste that costume to the one you want to mess around with =P

well no, but that makes no sense, seeing as you shouldn't have changed any directory so B+ codes shouldn't have changed.... need more info to solve your problem, directories textures what codes you have aside from B+, everything, the more info the easier it is to help.

i think i combined both codes together into a single gct file....

anyways, i'm redoing stuff now. here's a question. i named the brawl+ codes into the gct file known as RSBE01.gct on my sd card under the codes folder. however, on my desktop i named the file replacement (by phantom wings) codes into the file known as RSBE01.gct. So how do i put both sets of code into my sd card?

please help. i don't know what i should name the second set of codes since my brawl+ codes are already named RSBE01.gct

the only codes i have now on my sd card are the brawl+ codes under F:/codes/RSBE01.gct.

so how should i get the file replacement codes on?

Please ignore what i have written before. I still need help, but i'll try to make it as clear as possible.

my SD card has a file in the codes folder already. That file is named RSBE01.gct. I believe that this is the SD loader. I got this SD loader from setting up Brawl+.

my problem is that this tutorial is asking me to place another file named RSBE01.gct into the same folder. This new gct. file will contain the file replacement code. However, the problem is that my computer won't allow two files of the same name to exist in the same folder which is codes.

ofc u need the 8000+ lines codes, but there are threads that expleain those, so i wont go deeper with this.
hope they work for u, if not, let me know
it's an oldversion though, i guess
btw, i use plusery 4.0 and my wii is 3.4E
greetz

EDIT: and ofc u have to save the textures in private/wii/app/RSBP/pf/fighter
