I'd love it if you took the time to actually do one. I can't, because it's too much responsibility for me, and I have this 'thing' with responsibilities... Yeah, sucks to be me.

I'll help you in every way i can, I keep saving replays every now and then, but have nowhere to upload them. Now with SNOFY's help, I'll be able to upload them and help out the boards by filling up the video thread with videos (not capture-card quality, but SNOFY's quality is near perfect in my opinion)

I've been lurking, but I've been well. I think I have some interesting stuff to post once I research a little bit more. Sadly I'm not the kind to invest hours into testing things against every character in the game against every move so on and so forth and then document my findings, but I'll get around to it.

Hey... here are some videos from a tournament I got 3rd at, behind KingAce and HolyNightmare

After the tournament, I concluded that

1. Kirby's three hardest matchups are, without a doubt, ROB, ICs and MK (pretty much in that order)
2. Fair is 222 good. I should do a writeup on it...
3. I'm getting pretty good at footstools. :p

All pretty close games

These are the losers' quarters and losers' semis, I got knocked into losers by a good ROB from Ottawa and lost to KingAce 1-3 in loser's finals (those matches should be up soon, too)

It's a shame, the fun matches didn't get recorded. I had a great set vs Fool and Raidos (Also Falco and ICs), and I with those ones got recorded since I did come crazy stuff in those ones. The above are rather uneventful and I do stupid stuff at times.

Also, videos from that tournament I won are still not up T_T

Why doesn't Percon change ROB for G&W as one of Kirby's hardest matchups?


I can't really deny IC's being Kirby's hardest... I haven't faced any decent ones, just friends who are trying to learn the chaingrabs for fun, so it's not even close to viable experience.

And MK, well... Kirby fares better against MK than some of his other MUs, but even if it sounds contradictory, it IS one of his hardest... You always have to be on your toes, whereas in other MUs which are harder, you can afford to slip up once or twice in a match.

Kewk, I'd actually just say MK players tend to generally know more about their char than others (since his metagame is so advanced), which itself makes the MU harder, but then, that's just me.

Kirby's a very decent character, I don't know why he's seen as OK around the boards...... Something needs to be done about this. :embarrass

And welcome! I see you're new, hope you enjoy the time spent on SWF and learn a lot, as well as contribute! And don't worry, at least in Kirby boards, we don't bite.

Hey...Hey...Hey... I appreciate the Love Tyr... Hmmm I don't really care about being recognized as a great Kirby player... I achieved everything that I wanted to do so far as a Kirby Main...My next goal is to get to M2K status with my Kirby. I'll be recognized regardless...You can't mention Kirby without thinking about Y.b.M....I conquered the Midwest....I am currently Holding onto the Nation...Now I want World Dominance! hehe Anyone dare to stop me...hehe Highest Placing Kirby at Apex and in the Midwest. Yeah, as time passed, I realized... I didn't really care, as long as he was #13 or higher (A tier). S tier is pushing it, and even if some people live to disagree, Kirby is not easy to use at his fullest potential. And a great Kirby is very different from a good Kirby.

Also, I remember a time when we all thought we were better than YBM. Lulz.

You know, whether or not you are, you really can't claim to be considering you seem to quit half of your matches. Quitting matches is not pro at all :p


EDIT: and hey, I don't say you still can't but I swear there was a time where it feels like everybody thought it, then he won tournies, beat the **** out of the MW Kirbies, beat Chu in friendlies/MM/tourny (I believe there was an MM? I could be wrong), regardless of reasoning given, and thus got recognition.

Tell you what though, I was def. put in my place!

Those were some pretty sexy matches, Gonzo.... Makes me want to fast-forward my life to Pound4 more.

And man, when will people start registering? Melee has 118 entrants last time I checked, and Brawl only had 39 or something...

Pound4 is around January 14th-16th, if I remember correctly. So yeah, that might be a reason as to why people haven't registered... But the difference between Melee and Brawl registered users is almost triple, I can't help but worry that I might go there just to play with the same people I play at PR (hyperbole obviously, but I wanna play LOTS of people).
