Any advice on new samus player? Not me but I like doing random samus tech skill by myself like SWD, the grab thing, and junk.

Like what's some advice for getting him started? So far he has figured out don't lengh the grab when waiting for the foe to return, bomb jumping and down-smash is good. But he just stands there when misslieing. Also he doesn't play tricky mindgame like which he needs to learn.

I argee there are many ways to play I like to mess with them in truth if I didn't play as pichu/ ice climbers I think would play as her because she has some of the best mindgames in the game, but down-smash and pichu are better at it.

Ps i've been stalling the samus boards are a year.

You are not alone.
ICG's posts are really weird about 98% of the time.
That's only because you don't have the super secret decoder ring from the bottom of the Captain Crunch box.

I've been able to understand ICG's posts for some time now.

Get at me.

Hey xbombr, you play games with Jace n Dmac and them right?
I don't think I've ever met you before.
You pretty new to the scene or something?
Just wondering because I've been meaning to ask.

Also, are you known as xbombr or you got a different tag?
Kinda like how my account is "resTy" but I'm "Tyser."

Yup. :)

I'm still new to the scene. Still learning how hard it is when you first get started lol.

We haven't met before. Regrettably I'm known as xbombr haha. Couldn't really think of anything else besides my name on here.

My situation kinda sucks because of where Maryville is. Even though I play games with Jace, dmac, and the rest of the KC crew, I can't do it with any kind of consistency during the school year. And there's been a pretty heavy lack of tournaments within the range I can go to as well , at least since I've been involved. :\

I admit I'm kinda curious to see you play knihT.
Also, I don't know whether to type Think or knihT. Is that the name you use in tourneys? If so do they say knihT?
Also, I use the name Knil whenever I play a Zelda game. Just throwing that out there.

Ha

I originally used the name blowtoes because it was funny to hear people yell it out loud.
I use the name nineteen in tourneys now though.

I've heard probably 60 different variations of my name in tourney... >_>

Local regions purposely don't say it right just because it's funny, which is awesome, or call me by other names.

Elsewhere, I've missed sooo many matches because TOs call out something as bizzare or generic sounding like "Dan is Missing" and over all of the sounds of things and people shouting I never hear it.

:\

PS: Nice B&K guy up thur ^

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZiYWvBeW1o

Hey knihT, could you explain doing aerial interrupts from the ledge? Or is that not possible?
it's possible
it's mainly what i'm referring too as well

basically you need to release the edge (press away), then hold toward the stage, and jump, and right when samus becomes about even with the ground (i would say roughly the same timing as perfect wavelanding) i tap the cstick UP. mess around with it a bit and you'll get the timing down, i'm about 80% proficient with it, maybe more. it does vary from day to day though, as with any new technique.

Ah alright. That's perfect. I just didn't know what buttons you used and an approximate timing for it. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm going to try to incorporate this.

edit: I just practiced this **** and it's amazingly easy to do. I'm like 70% consistent with it just practicing (no human opponent, but an annoying level 1 cpu that jabs all the time). Can't wait to see how this works against other people. It's really fast and I've already found some useful looking applications for it that I'm going to try out. It's just like perfect wavelanding onto the stage, but you don't slide and I think there's less overall lag. You can get a shield or a move out instantly too. Holding r and not releasing the c-stick buffers a jump, which idk how useful that would be, but it's instant. I think this is a great mixup for perfect wavelanding onto the stage and other ledge options.

I haven't adopted that whole Uair Canceling dealio yet.
I've never seen nobody use it consistently in a match before.
Is it more for show than an actual effective tech?

You can do an invincible downsmash/tilt if you're fast enough.

It's easy as **** too. The timing is almost exactly the same as perfect wavelanding onto the stage, except you use the c-stick up instead of R/L. If you screw up you'll do a UAir obviously though... so it's not really as bad as when you screw up your waveland onto the stage since you fall to your doom if that happens unless you've got your grapple and are at a distance where it'll work.
