Wow, thankies.
Well, the Victory Fanfare is not exactly a must, I rather have the rest of the stages.

But if you were to add from... 52-58 seconds of the song I sent as the Samus' victory fanfare, that would be great, or as long as the file lets to be played.

Please add loop points anywhere and extend or shorten the songs anyway you want if it will make it easier for you, and if possible make each of them for any one of the following:
- final destination alternate
- battlefield alternate
- yoshi's story alternate
- mute city alternate
- dreamland 64 alternate
- pokemon stadium alternate

so yeah whatever stage and whatever length and whatever loop points are easiest for you!

you don't have to rename anything as long as you replace the right file.

so i have a bit of a quandary. i can make every song in the game as long as possible (3:51) making song requests a lot easier, or i can finish off the current requests first.

hmm.

i guess i'll finish the existing requests and then work on that next. once we establish a base of 3:51 (or maybe 14 minutes, if that can get working) i suppose we could redo a bunch of audio requests.

i'm not really satisfied with this menu thing.. i had to speed it up and somehow that annoying pop manifested at the loop point. for now i suggest not hanging out in the menu >_< i'll redo it once i get the all length songs thing finished.

well, the longer song thing isn't really my find, i just changed a step to get it working.

you load up your melee iso/gcm in gc-tool
wipe the garbage bytes
extract the whole iso (with the banner and everything)
then you just change the music by overwriting it. for example, if i wanted to use my hacked garden.hps for the menu song, i would delete menu01.hps, then rename my hacked garden.hps into menu01.hps.

But I think it could be a hassle for you for me to ask if you could put the FFXIII songs I sent you as long as you could in *.hps

it's no trouble!
and don't feel dumb; the guide is pretty confusing and it took me a while to get used to the process.
also actually, most of the FFXIII songs were looped once or twice, so they didn't lose too much.

shine is probably a hex code also as it doesn't show up as a texture.

now all i have to do is go home.


the barebones iso is done!



all victory sound effects are ff_*******.hps

1) all songs listed are 14:02 long and the same file so they are interchangeable
2) any other song is a 75 kb file
3) the intro movie is the beginning to Silence, Silent Spectre's combo video.
4) how to play and 15 minute special are gone.
5) all single player movies will freeze the game.
6) all victory songs are now saria's song so they can be exchanged for added length
