Call me a hypocrite, but then again you can save about $100 per person per month [about $5 a day assuming you don't eat cereal, waffles, or something like that lol $3 a day if not at the minimum] by not eating fast food, so yeah. :p
Can you elaborate more? I don't really believe this is true. The cost for a burger from a fast food place could be about $2-$3. Buying your own meat, buns, and condiments costs far over $2-$3.

Whenever I got to McDonald's, I usually just get a double cheeseburger, $1.30-ish. It's not that much, but I usually eat a snack in the afternoon anyways.

Fast Food >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Groccery Store. By far.
Debatable, depending on what your line of work is.
Time goes by SO FRIGGIN SLOW in a groccery store. Though the work is rough, you're always doing something in fast food, therefore...your busy and it goes by fast?
I'll just go to the conclusion that if you are busy or enjoy what you are doing, time seems to go by faster, regardless of occupation.

About 18 months ago, I was hired as a standard bagger (or to be specific, Utility Clerk). Things were pretty standard, assist checkers, collect carts, take back "overstock" items (things people didn't want, and collected into one place to take back to the shelf). As time elapsed, more tasks were given to me (garbage duty, helping stockers load items onto shelves, ect.). My dedication, precision, accuracy, and great Shop record (Shops are evaluations from a secret shopper to grade your precision when asked with customer questions and processes), I was able to convince my managers I was able to be upgraded to checker (at the time, it was eight months after I had started). However, the economy had hit our store quite hard during and after that time frame, so that was pushed back a bit.

Eventually, a position opened up not in checking, but in General Merchandise. (GM works in vitamins, baby products, nutrition suppliments, skin care, eye care, drugs, hair care, shaving products, feminine products [just guess what kind], school/office products, light bulbs, kitchen utensils, and all liquor products) As of today, I work that position, while trained to work as a checker. It pays a little over minimum wage, and has a bunch of pros and cons, though I have plenty to complain about, if willing. :)
Also free food = win. You won't gain a pound either XD.
So you can get free food. Dang! All I get is 10% off at my store... ON CORPERATE BRANDS!
I would probably gain a few unwanted pounds, depending on where I work.

Also, do you work on one specific position, or move around to other spots? Additionally, how's interacting with customers?

I'll use McDonald's vs. eating at home:

Breakfast:
McDonald's [at a cheap, but reasonable regular day involving breakfast, lunch, and dinner being from it]
-McMuffin w/ Egg: about $2
-Coffee/Milk: another $1 roughly depending on what size you go with
Not bad, two dollars, however, let's see how much a common breakfast item costs from a supermarket:
-Eggo Waffles [10-Pack] $2, assuming you only eat 2 a day, that is about 40 cents a day.
-Milk: $2.50 a gallon, assuming you drink about 2 full glasses in the morning, that will last about a week, so that comes out to about 35 cents a day.

3 dollars versus 70 cents, pft, that's no big deal, well, the difference is the smallest during the morning:

Lunch:
McDonald's
-Big Mac: $3
-Soda 32oz: $1/$1.50

Now at $4.50 it's a little more than the breakfast but not too much, let's see how much a lunch of hot dogs every day with ketchup and mustard would cost, plus soda:

-Hot Dog Buns: $2 [Makes 4 Hot Dogs, if you eat 2 complete hot dogs a day that's a $1/day]
-Hot Dogs: $2-$4 [About 8 Hot Dogs, about $2/day if you eat 2 for lunch]
-Soda Cans: $3 [12-Pack, about $1/day if you drink two for lunch AND two for dinner]
-Ketchup: $2-$5 [14/20oz bottle, lasts about a month, so it should be somewhere around 6 to 16 cents a day of use]
-Mustard :$2-$5 [14/20oz bottle, see above]

Yes, it looks like the shopping is catching up, but let's compare: the $4.50 [usually more] per person at McDonald's is one use, the fact the materials you shopped for are not used in one day brings it to about a total of $4, which is reasonably close [though keep in mind I'll not include the soda pricing for dinner because it's price was included with the lunch for your dinner drinks too]. Sandwiches and juices are far cheaper.

Dinner is going to be about the same, but since I included the price of soda in the lunch list above imagine it as $2 in savings

This is about $5 a day, weak right? Multiply that by 30. That's $150 saved a month. Now imagine that you have to pay more for more fast food restaurants and see how the margin grows. Save $10 a day? that's $300 saved a month, and that's only for one person.

Not including gas for either, though fast food will contribute to gas consumption more. For the most part fast food prices are higher than McDonald's so keep that in mind, the variation tends to be more mild for grocery shopping unless you're going for something like a feast of stuffed turkey with king crab legs and Lobster tails. lol

I would never want to do fast food every day, I usually only eat fast food 2-3 times a month. I remember being really busy for a straight week with college stuff, so I ate various fast foods, after 3 days I was enjoying Heartburn, stomach cramps and leaky number 2's. There is just too much processed crap in fast food, and with Chron's disease it hits me a bit harder. But even for normal people home cooking is the best way, yada yada health rant...............

A friend of mine who donates plasma on a weekly basis said that if she eats fast food prior to donating, her plasma ends up thicker and kind of chunky.

On a 6 hour day...which really isn't much, but I'm doing college soon too, I take 20,000 steps according to my Pokewalker. =]

Also, all I mean to say is if your busy = goes by fast.

I live in a small town, our grocery store is very slow >.>.

I made 10 sammiches in like 2 minutes a couple nights ago. For the win >.>

Also, I'm not saying our food is healthy, but it's not nearly as processed as most. it's a very small franchise.

I'd ignore everything on there about exercising and women.

There are some great guides from 4chan about have to get ripped in like two months, though. There's also a chart that allegedly can make you a long-distance runner in two weeks.

Yeah I'm just fat. Not really going to deny it. A lot of people tell me I'm not, but I'm like 6'1", 220 lbs. That's pretty overweight imo. During the soccer season I tend to drop to like 205, but then after I just get fat again. :ohwell:

I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum, I'm about 6'0" (maybe an inch or two higher don't recall, definitely not lower than 5' 11") and only half of that, yes I'm a guy. X_x

Hehe tery dances xD

Man the only fast food I'd love to work in is kfc. Yum.

And **** my back hurts like a butch from sleeping in the **** hospital room all night. And the fact that nurses kept turning on lights every hour didn't help either :urg:

Hospital sux.

Ionno, I'm not exactly strong (working on that through lifting) but I can lift 110-115 lbs. My cousin, who's 5'8" can lift the same amount, yet his upper body looks much stronger than mine. His abs are also weaker than mine yet when he flexes his, his abdominal muscles show.

Bah I need to get rid of body fat. I guess I'll start doing cardio more often or something.

Yaaaaay. My dad brought my laptop to the hospital :D

Sucks I'm gonna have to sleep in a lumpy mattress for a couple of days though :/

Man, I don't even know how much I weigh, but this vacation I seriously went down in weight severely. Even to the point where I can't stop hearing my parents say that I'm too skinny like every 5 minutes

And now that I'm a computer and I can respond to several messages now, no RR, you're avi doesn't bother me. It's teh fact that you have bugs breeding in your aunts bathroom that disgusts me.

I'm trying to lose weight and get in shape myself. I just got back from the gym haha, really nice to sweat buckets!
I'm not allowed to run though, which makes it difficult. I have a knee injury and my running would be like watching a ******** Snorlax with a limp try and use Giga Impact.

Yeah, I have a muscle build up on my left ventricle which makes my running limited. Luckily my doctor gave me permission to play soccer, I just can't really play a whole game a time which is frustrating.

Do you all have running problems D:
I like lifting better though... anyone know if 'burning out' is good during bench?

And I had a driving lesson yesterday... I think I had a bit too many 'oops' moments. Good thing the instructor is a chill guy.

I hate going to the gym and & working out. It's boring. I'd rather get excercise by playing any sport.

I swim because I hate running and being sweaty to the point where I don't like playing sports. Rather, maybe I've gotten like that BECAUSE swimming feels so goooooooood that I'm spoiled by it.

.............ping pong ..... sports........
A friend of mine recently got a Ping Pong table thinking that we'd just be standing there. Now that I play people who are somewhat decent, I've come to realize that Ping Pong takes a lot of fast movement. T_T

I exercise everyday, pretty much. Daily 30-minute freestyle dancing, usually a couple hours of tennis. I only get to play badminton and ping pong once a week, around 2 hours of badminton and less of ping pong. I lately haven't had much time to play the latter two.
I'm going to just start doing crunches and pushups regularly, too. Just because I can. xD

You exercise waaaaay more than me. I just go to the gym and play basketball any time I'm not going to the gym.

But I'm still looking for a good enough exercise for abs... someone link me to a good ab work out or something.

This isn't Pokemon related guyz!
But, just a silly question... which Pokemon would you use to exercise with?

Acceleration and quickness dual-specialist here

For more strength gain, I typically choose weight I can lift for about 3 sets of no more than 6 reps. You plan or intend to go until total failure, or when your muscles give in. Then, one minute of rest, no more than that so can obtain maximum hypertrophy. This might feel uncomfortable in terms of pain, but it's one of the best ways to get results without doing the isolated kill routine. 'Burning out' is completely ok if you work in other muscle groups, but if you continuously burn out on the same muscle group, it won't get the proper rest peroid, and you will not see results.

gotta be Poliwrath.
I agree.
Poliwrath would be great when I'm doing free weight lifting, spray some water when I'm sweaty, and be able to accomidate me on a full or split body routine. The only trade-off is getting pwnd in swimming (I'm not saying I'm a bad swimmer, but y'all know what the dex says about this guy).

*goes to make avatar a wasp's nest*

lol jk jk, I'm not that annoying. I was exaggerating, roach. I was just saying that there can be so many bugs in there you'd think they were breeding. There all gone by morning so that theory is out the window. Though it doesn't really help that the windows are usually open for the night. Oh and for the record, it's my granny, not my aunt.

I couldn't tell you guys how much I weigh or how tall I am, because I can never remember the figures, it's been ages since I last measured, and we don't measure in imperial over here. :(

I'd train with an Oddish.

That way my self esteem could go up with an easy victory over the teeny weeny thing.

Oh... well ok then RR. But ****, that would be gross if they were actually spawning in her bathroom XD

I think I'm doing fine on lifting, then. My cousin and I spot each other and we alternate so we get 1-2 minutes of rest.

Ending of Inception = mind ****
