ahh. i felt flattered ;)



edit: someone had a set of hd component cables hooked up to my wii. I have them. Just ask for them at the duke tourney on the 13th. Also, a sleeping bag was left; I dunno if someone left it or if it was already there. Either way, just ask me for it.

and I just wanted to thank NC for being so considerate of the venue. There was literally no trash to clean up when everyone left. Seriously, that is very considerate and I'm very appreciative.

also, for the Duke biweeklies, I need some input on how we are going to do low tiers. I do plan on allowing characters D tier and below in. But I need some input on which characters will not be allowed. It was obvious at this tourney that most people felt Samus dominated (would just like to point out that she would and I was laughed at for theory crafting about low tiers). And it seems luigi and wolf were also considered too good. I am right now very much for banning samus and luigi from low tier tourneys. But as far as wolf I'm not convinced. I need some input on whether NC is for banning samus and luigi and I need a general consensus on to whether wolf is ban worthy. And lastly, are there any other characters that are ban worthy? Some people felt sheik was and some others said she wasn't. I need to know whether sheik should be banned also. And if there are any other characters please let me know.

Those are Uncle and Shady's, I hooked them up.

IMO Luigi should get banned, wolf and sheik are up for discussion, samus i found to be really easy to fight against compared to the others (she's also just bad, horrible ko potential... and cant ban a character for being bad, but annoying) but i guess if everyone else thought she was broken she can be discussed too

well after seeing tourney results I see that samus wasn't as broken as everyone was saying (but it should be noted that kadaj was using Samus at some point). So she probably isn't ban worthy. It seems luigi should certainly be banned. Still the matter of sheik and wolf needs to be discussed (this is in reference to low tiers for anyone who is confused.).

btw kadaj....the next tourney you need to teach me some sheik stuff

and it really doesn't matter who you used. you're safe with every character. you could be on the power rankings by maining ganon lol

Did good in Teams, Got tired around singles and fell off, played like balls,

My lucario was really bad at this.

I did poorly. Ill just do better next time i guess.

I also want to apologize for having many parts of this event confusing or inconsistent... it's not my style, I like to have everything as streamlined as possible, but I just wasn't expecting more entrants than low-20's, and even with 6 Brawl setups, there just wasn't time to do full pools and then still do a large bracket without elimination. I still want to do pools but either I'm going to have to try better time management, or I'll have rules where we do pools without elimination below a certain number of entrants, and past that number either bracket or elimination pools.

I didn't get to play you or watch you much but the few matches I peeked in on that you were playing seemed really solid, I saw you do smart things and I never saw anyone solidly beating you, next tourney we can do some friendlies.

There were 1 or 2 instances of players choosing not to enter after all and forfeiting their sets, in this case DJ got in free for bringing TV's but after it started he decided he would forfeit his matches (including him it was 17 entrants).

I'm trying to place characters in order of how many matches they were used, so it does matter a bit at least. I'll fix it.
