It may not be the hugest accomplishment, but I am so proud of myself! You know that code I've been asking for? The one that loads a song, dependent on the stage you're in? Well, I made it! I got off my butt, loaded up dolphin, and made it! I've never made a code before! Check it out!

Have fun with independent songs for new custom stages, my friends!

DISCLAIMER: (Only one song per stage. Only one stage per code. You'll need a new code for each stage)

Impressive VERY impressive
Now if you can swap the songs a stage uses i'll love you forever (ex. Swapping all of FD's 5 tracks with pirates ships 5+)
But i'll take this for now

That EXACT code is in the OP. It's a tracklist modifier. Or are you asking for something different?
Great work! I would like to see you improve this code to allow you to individually choose which songs and how many will go for each stage. So, basically the same as this, but allowing the user pick one song from FD, one from Battlefield, and one from SSE to play (at equal frequency of course) on Custom02. That would be the perfect music selection code. Yours is close though!

Nope i was asking for that
If i wasn't so tired from 3 hours of homework and an hour of music rehearsal i'd probably facepalm

The only way I can think of doing that is having a code that would first check what stage you are on, then which song on the tracklist has been selected to play, and then hijack it and play whatever you selected that would correlate to that song on that stage. Every stage could have up to 11 songs that way, by using Halberd's tracklist. I don't even think that's really possible, the way I'm thinking of doing it.

Minus side, though, is that each song would have to have its OWN code. So, basically, we're looking at about 5 to 11 codes per stage, if this is even possible to begin with. With a guesstimate of 5 lines of code per song, in this case, that's at LEAST 25 lines per stage.

I'll see if I can do that tomorrow. I'm too tired, right now.

That new code seems pretty useful. If you have a stage you never play, like Mario Bros., then you can use that tracklist to store songs for 5 different custom stages, if you only put 1 song per stage.

Also, it looks like you can give Hanenbow a real song with this.

Really? I thought I remembered it not working for some reason. Oh well, whatever.

My main point still stands.

So far the code works good for 16 Custom Stages at the Melee Screen. Track List works too, althought it seems that it is not paying attention to my music priority.

Anyway tried returning to the first screen and quiting fast from stage and had no freezes.
Not everything is sugar and rainbows :(. I think I found a glitch/own mistake? in the Track List Code.

Anyway everyhting was working fine with the track list assigned to the custom stages, but whenever I enter to Tourney Mode, no matter which stage I choose (even custom ones), they only play BF music :S.

If anybody could help me, I will be more than gratefull...:D

Here is my code:

For some reason, the "Stage Dependent Song Loader" code isn't working for me at all. I tried it on CUSTOM1 and then Battlefield, using different songs both times and got no results. Is there anything more to using it than just inputting it once for each stage? (ie. can't be used with tracklist modifier code or something to that extent)

Cool code Oshtoby. It's a good alternative to the Tracklist Modifier because you can use those other, hidden songs.

That's because you need to use E0000000 80008000 after each of those codes otherwise the line for SS will not have its pointer reset. Meaning it won't be able to tell what the next stage is, and is now using that entire code up until E0000000 80008000 as the full code. lol

You need to do it like:

28613d8f 000000SS
4A000000 90180F06
14000076 FF00MMMM
E0000000 80008000
28613d8f 000000S
4A000000 90180F06
14000076 FF00MMMM

and repeat for each of your stages that you had in your code.

You need to do it like:

28613d8f 000000SS
4A000000 90180F06
14000076 FF00MMMM
E0000000 80008000
28613d8f 000000S
4A000000 90180F06
14000076 FF00MMMM

and repeat for each of your stages that you had in your code.
It still doesn't work. Still plays Battlefield.

The worst situation would be a Full Brick. Or not having a Wii.

But yea, it ain't the best situation at all. x(

Of course making them separate codes wouldn't change anything. The gct is basically one long string of codes one right after another.

Doing:

Example [Standardtoaster]
AAAAAAAA AAAAAAAA
BBBBBBBB BBBBBBBB

Example 2 [Standardtoaster]
CCCCCCCC CCCCCCCC
DDDDDDD DDDDDDDD

and making that a gct would be the same as doing:

Examples 1 + 2 [Standardtoaster]
AAAAAAAA AAAAAAAA
BBBBBBBB BBBBBBBB
CCCCCCCC CCCCCCCC
DDDDDDDD DDDDDDDD

Oshtoby, did you ever test your code outside of dolphin? I'll probably look at your code a bit more in depth later and see what I can do.

That's what I use on my Wii, using the USB Loader.

EDIT: The reason they all say "does "Boss Fight 1" Music" after number 4 is because I got lazy.

EDIT 2:
That new code seems pretty useful. If you have a stage you never play, like Mario Bros., then you can use that tracklist to store songs for 5 different custom stages, if you only put 1 song per stage.

Also, it looks like you can give Hanenbow a real song with this.
He says "it looks like you can give Hanenbow a real song with this" meaning that he's tested it on hanenbow. Meaning he's tested it at all. It works for him and myself. I wonder why not for others...?

Did you see anything wrong with the codes I posted? The only other codes I used were the FPC and the stage expansion codes.

Just to test this, try using my GCT. You can take out any code you don't want.

EDIT:

Just for ****s and giggles, can you try out any of these and tell me if they work? All you have to do to test them is replace the first line of my code with one of these three:

28623093 000000SS
or
2862b3b7 000000SS
or
28708ceb 000000SS

These four (including the one in my original version of the code) are the only constant values saying the stage. Whichever one works for you may be better, so tell me your results.

Okay I will test those once I can get back on the Wii.

EDIT: I played with your exact GCT. The codes generally work, although the Custom 1 doesn't work. I'll try out the new lines now.
