D-Throw Frame Trap on MK

If you d-throw MK and buffer dash, jump, u-air, the only thing he can do is air dodge, if he tries to attack, jump, or do a b move he will be hit by the u-air

If he air dodges you can fast fall to the ground and jab grab him before his air dodge lag is over.

The only way he can avoid this is to DI away in whch case you can punish with something like dash attack if you read him correctly


A good way to force bad DI is to start pummeling him while he's grabbed so he'll start trying to break out. While he's mashing the control stick to break out, d-throw him.

Yyyep.
It's a good application of the beastly frame advantage of Dthrow.

Also it works on more characters than MK and with other moves (Dthrow to Nair on heavies = true combo at low % ?)
