First off, welcome to smashboards =)

Secondly, those are all pretty good matches, the last one is from 2009 though, which is too old. I would even consider the other 2 as bordering on being outdated. They have been nominated before though I can almost guarantee you that, I wouldn't look through all these posts either so I can't blame you there heheh

First off: Thanks for the welcome, appreciate it, haha.

I understand that metagames change and new strategies develop for characters, but does it really matter that much about the age of the videos? I'm new to competetive SSBB, you'd know a lot more than me, but as long as the players are playing to an acceptable standard, does it really matter the date? Idk, just wondering.

short answer: no, not really

..but certain characters have more dynamic and everchanging metagames than others, so we tend to only nominate the most recent videos when it's possible.. characters like captain falcon don't have alot of high level matches recorded so an older video may be acceptable, whereas a character like diddy or metaknight has players consistently pushing them forward.. which makes some videos quickly outdated.

Bowser isn't as bad as Zelda though so I'm assuming your options won't be completely shut down.
