Originally from Project Crusade's SSB4 forum, I am bringing this thread/game/whatever you want to call it/series here so that more people will submit predictions. The voting will continue at the other site. The members there will submit things to this list, and they will appear here. Similiarly, if you submit a list here, it will go to the Crusade thread as well as this one. In this thread, we submit a list of ten characters that we believe are likely to get in SSB4. The person with the most correct guesses wins. Predictions end once the first newcomer is revealed.

Thing to note:

-You can edit your lists by telling me what you want to change.

-Anyone who was not playable in Brawl is counted as a newcomer

-No ridiculous lists plz

-You don't have to have an actual name for the character you are predicting. You can do something like "That blue guy from Pikmin 3" or "Wonderful 101 main character" and it will be turned into the obvious choice once the information for that character comes in. You have to list an actual character, however. No "new Fire Emblem rep" or "fifth zelda rep".

-You cannot list more then one character as one option. You cannot say "either x, or y if something happens" or "x or y". If you do this, I will assume it is the first option until you tell me to change it.

-You can have transformations, but only get credit if the tranformation is as you predicted. If you guessed a character would be in and it turns out she/he is only a transformation of another character, you still get full points.

-You can edit your list at any time by telling me, in a reply to this topic, not by editing your original post, what you want changed.

As much as I love Professor Layton and support him as my most wanted character for smash. I know well enough that he has a pretty slim chance of getting into this smash bros game.

The following, a giant WoT, is my thought process, and how I came to decide upon these characters for my top 10 predicition. You don't have to read it, but it's here nonetheless.

From this, I wittled down until I arrived at my 10, though it was understandably really, really hard.

Four characters from each group gone, I was left with 12 characters. I thought "I'm never going to be able to bring this down to 10!", but then I noticed why it was at 12 - through all my wittling down, the four major contenders for the Mario spot (Toad, Bowser Jr. Paper Mario, and Waluigi) had all survived cut after cut, with Waluigi finally succumbing to the void in the last round of eliminations.

I knew that the Mario wasn't going to get more than one new player in the game, and since it would only take eliminating two of the three to bring my list to finality, I knew what I had to do. The only problem was, I didn't know who to cut. I knew that Paper Mario was the weakest of the three, so we was gone first, but then that left Toad and Bowser Jr, each having an equal shot.

In the end, I decided that Bowser Jr., no matter how worthy he was of the spot, wasn't as relevant in the Mario series as Toad was, and it was quite likely that his moveset wasn't going to be as unique as Toad's could be, so I made my choice, and Bowser Jr. met his end in the abyss, with Toad emerging victorious and earning the final spot in the top 10. This left my list as it stands at the top of this post, but for sake of continuity:

he would have a chance trust me i remember gen3 was out or justtt about to when mewtwo teleported into melee. and lucario was in brawl when gen4 was out.

well yh smash is a hype game ofc ppl will specualte overcreact if it was any dev but i think ppl OVER speculate/knock him bkus generally the FANS hate majority of his descisions.

gen 3 still came out after melee so it couldnt have effected the roster, and lucario is from gen 4

i just think they'll go for a pokemon from the what ever is the most recent generation at the time

OK guys, with the announcement of Smash Bros 4 for both Wii U & 3DS, the character demands, rumors, & speculations are all over the web. Now we know Smash Bros 4 is coming, but we don't know when or who will be in or out the new game. We do know it will be a long time till it is released.

So for fun and to kill time I decided to come up with this new forum concept called SSB4 Speculation Lottery. This is how it works.

Everyone will get the chance to list 10 character on who they think will be in SSB4 (Both the Wii U and the 3DS versions). They can be either newcomers or scrapped/planned characters from previous Smash games or both.

I will keep track and post everyone's list on the Original Post for everyone to see.

You will be graded from 1-10. You get 1 point for each character you get correct once they are confirmed. If you pick a series rep, but not the correct character, you will get 0.5 instead of 1. For example, you will get 0.5 instead of 1 point if you pick Toad, yet Bowser Jr is confirmed instead. If two or more reps from that series appear as newcomers, you still only get half a point.

After voting has ended, we just sit back and wait for one of our listed characters to be confirmed playable. The forum member with the most confirmed characters on his or her list is the winner. No prizes, maybe bragging rights for correct speculations, but nothing special, unless someone wants to make something.

Here are the rules:

1. Only character yet to be playable in a Smash Bros game &/or characters that were removed from a previous Smash game can be on your list.

2. If you want to participate, you must submit your 10 listed characters on this thread before two or more newcomers are announced

3. The list HAS to be character that you believe, expect, and/or speculate will be in the next Smash Bros. NO characters that you wish to see, NO characters you think should be in. ONLY characters that you think Sakurai will put in Smash Bros 4.

4. You CAN'T change your list once two or more newcomers are announced. You may change it any time from now until then. No excuses.

5. The list doesn't have to be in alphabetical order. Just a list of 10 speculated characters.

6. No random choices allowed. For Example; picking "New Fire Emblem rep" will not count. If the character does not have a name, you must provide a picture of the character.

7. No guests.

8. Sorry, I forgot. You can't pick two different characters as one choice. For example. you cannot have "Either Chrom or Roy" as an option. If it is a transformation or tag team, see rule 10.

9. If a character is announced before the launching of the dojo, you cannot add it to your list. If a character is denounced, you cannot remove it.

10. You may put transformations/tag-teams on your list, but if half or less of them get in, it only counts as half a point. If all of your tag-team/transformations get in as seperate characters, you get one point.

11. No troll lists please.

This is just for fun for our community and something to do during SSB4's development. Obviously the winner will be confirmed once SSB4's full roster is exposed to the public. So please, join in the fun and let the speculation begin!
