edit: Favorite part of this tourney: any falcon FFA's on Yoshi's Island, and then Falcon/Peach mirror matches on Yoshi's.
Best combo = Grab to Peach d-smash.

I played diddy and ivysaur too. Vro used Ike in one match I think.

ORLY went Fox / Marth.

Payout was:

1: $66
2: $33
3: $11

Good games everyone I've played against. I may play in one more Wisconsin tournament. I will be soon be playing other fighting games instead of melee.

A couple peeps asked if I could give them some advice. I recommend those that want to get better to do two things:

1) Do not, I repeat, do not drop that game winning combo. Just the thought of giving your opponent a chance in coming back is scary, and will more than likely make you that much more nervous in a tournament setting. Losing to yourself hurts, A LOT.

2) Resist giving in to the "easy approach." This is much harder to explain. Just because falco has a gun, doesn't mean he has to use it. Just having it is all you need. Dr. pee pee (lol @ his name) does this the best. Mix it up a bit.

Just wondering, what was the entry fee? The original thread says it was $10, but the amount you listed above equals $99 and you had 9 entrants. Does this mean you charged $11 entry fee, or were there 10 entrants and you gave $1 to 4th?

I think that payout is wrong. It was def $10, and only 9 people entered.

I'd guess it was 1st $54, 2nd $27, 3rd $9

It's possible I paid out the wrong amount, I'm not sure why I thought there were 11 people. Those were the payouts, and the entry was $10 LOOL
