I got mine for $20 at EB Games. It's not an official Nintendo controller, but it is the same shape and feel, I cant tell the difference. They come in blue or white.

Streetgeek 9.01 Report

During the big Adelaide heat wave of 09 over 140 people gatherd together for Streetgeek 9.01. Luckily the Lan has a powerfull Air Con so with all those PC's and console's it stayed below 30 in there.

Plenty of Guitar Hero and Rock Band was played all Lan as usual and its quite fun playing in a 4 player band im just getting sick of the songs, more DLC please.

PC area was nearly 100% full with planty of gaming, leeching and tournaments but I was too busy with console stuff I didnt see alot.
Good (cheap) food, drinks, free ice blocks, great atmosphere, tons of gaming, tournamnets, prizes, dual ceiling projectors and lots of socialising made this another awesome Lan.

The secret prize was a hard drive, to be awarded to whoever came dressed up and had the least amount of total hard drive space. I was expecting some poor lanner to turn up with an 80GB drive, but it turned out that none of us had less than half a terrabyte each.
So rOADKIL won a 160GB SATA drive, and Tobbygnome won a 120GB IDE drive.

All the costumes were awesome, I was so impressed with the effort people put in. 8)

Bushfire Charity Lan

The committee has decided that the next lan will be a charity lan where all proceeds will be donated to the Victorian Fire Appeal. We will also have a box at the lan for people to donate extra money. This decision comes as a great sadness to all of us as Australian witnesses the aftermath of our worst natural disaster in history. So dig deep people and encourage as many people as you can to this LAN so we can help those suffering severe grief and loss in Victoria.

P.S. Supermembers fear not, the LAN will be taking into account every super member and donating money as if you payed the entrance fee.

srry I didn't come to sg lan but I went on saturday and played Jamage and we had matches
me falco jamage wolf I win
me R.O.B jamage can't remember who he was and who won
me pikachu jamage peach think I won
me metaknight jamage bowser I won on 153 or something 1 live
but I guess probably only got one hour sleep so

I have to come to the march one and maybe get a proper match with Jamage and maybe djbrowny and ant or should I say djcookie and caterpiller lol

Yeah I think we had 4 games and I only won 1 but had only 1 hour sleep, your a damm good player btw.
It was Marth vs Rob I think and maybe that was the one I won via major comeback but I cant remember as I was kinda zombie'd at the time.

I 6 stocked a good Kirby player, I dont think he was used to a good wolf and got punished by fsmash, dsmash and bair and was pumped but I didnt do as well agaisnt DJB as last lan and he knows how to defend against wolf.

Blue Bomber has had bad luck with the draw card the last 2 lans.

yeah I had a fun time versing Aisuka because a long time ago I challenged him to a ssbb ladder match he used pikachu and I used diddy he won but I got my revenge and beat his marth once with falco
(using chain grabs) and then I think he beat me with pikachu and I used R.O.B they were fun

btw if any SA guys need a wireless router to get on wifi ill let you borrow my wifi router USB thing i bought for the DS, i never use it anyway.

I looked over our rules and they seem kinda out-dated, I suggest we use this set of rules, these are the standard Brawl Singles rules for VGDistrict;

7 Minute Time Limit
Best of 3 Matches (Finals possibly best of 5? I dunno your choice)
Stalling of any kind is banned
Metaknights infinite cape glitch is banned
Standing infinite chaingrabs are banned, there MUST be a DASH inbetween grabs.
Iceclimbers Alt grabs are limited to 6.

This ruleset has an changed some of worse levels from Neutral to CP, and with the chaingrab rule we don't need the Dedede rule anymore.

It's up to you whether we use them or not, I just think these ones are a lot better.

besides the obvious infinite CG one, i dont think lylat is a neutral and corneria+mansion are typically banned nowdays, sometimes japes as well. I think theres good reason behind that too >_>

I still think we should use the IC rule though, our current one is total BS. If someone really wanted the could practice heaps with IC totally dominate with the infinite, one grab and you lose a stock.

And Eagle, you come on Friday night then (if you want to) sleep there until the next day and leave in the afternoon.

Meaning the event is on this weekend not next weekend or last weekend. It starts friday night but most of the event is on saturday which counts as the weekend and alot of people consider after 5pm on friday the weekend anyway.

Its this friday the 13th of march 2009 from 7pm friday night all the way through till 9 pm saturday night. Hope things are clearer now, If your still confused theres something wrong with you
