I think I could mess around in Photoshop to make something neat if I decide to partake in making these kinds of images. (Which I'm considering). I'm not entirely sure what you mean by an Emerald persay, do you mean some sort of generic yet stylized backdrop? I've never tried before but I think I can find some backgrounds that I like, or might just go with taking real pictures of things like you have. I still love that Ninja Turtle selection screen >_< Brings back good memories of the old TMNT games in the arcades. Dunno how old you are, but I grew up playing TMNT games on the NES and back when arcade games of that still existed in places like Chuck-e-cheese. Good times.
I'm having a problem. I need to switch to File Patch 3.5.1 to Test out things in my new Theme pack, However after I switched and booted up in Gecko, It would load, then Right before the game started, I would get some errors. What am I doing wrong? I just replaced your 3.5 code with 3.5.1
-EDIT-
Nevermind. I just deleted your code instead of modifying it, Created a new one and inserted 3.5.1. Now it works fine. (:

emerald as in an emerald texture. Emerald textures are where each surface looks like they are reflecting a set image, they usually appear shiny. this is nothing like a normal texture.
I'm not a TMNT fan ironically, actually can't even tell who's which. never played those side-scrolling NES or SNES games, hated them. best platformer I played back then would be mario bros. I am liking the single color backdrop as there is a clear accent of what colour the are. To be honest, it was a half-'butted' thing, which turned out to not be 1/2 'butted' looking lol Wont be long until 6 or 7 people start doing CSPs with a backdrop and then showing it off without credit of inspiration. I've always had that situation back when I was little, come up with something, share it, everybody loves it, mimics it and everyone praises them.
That is kind of lame that people might copy them and never credit you, but I mean, there are only a few ways to make CSPs and that's one of them so it's not like it's a patented creation. But on another side, I haven't seen anyone make them like you do, so I would still feel ripped off.
But you could look at it as starting a revolutionary form of CSP'ing that you started!
So I finished compiling all of the best textures from all of the sites and forums. Made it so that they would be team friendly. Made sure that there weren't any low res bland textures. Tested them all in game so that they would not be distracting to the eye. This is what I came up with.
I'm hoping to get all SMAAASH textures for the original spot. Not only is BP's series ****ing awesome, but since it uses the same color palette as the original it will never interfere with team colors.
There are some empty spots,. I told myself better it be empty then having it replaced by an ugly texture.
Definitely appears to be team friendly, but I have no intention on switching my roster to this one. There are a few characters here and there that I might change around, like Renamon instead of Mickeycario for example, but as a whole I'm pretty happy with mine. As time progresses I'll start weeding out the less appealing ones, but in general I wanted to leave all of the original colors and more or less stick to my interests. I feel that trying to keep teams and including certain color characters doesn't allow for some textures to ever have a place, and at least with me and the group I play with, I hardly ever play teams.
Also, I just don't really like a lot of the ones on your list. They might look like the real thing but I feel that without the desire to ever play them they'd just go to waste for me. Glad you came up with a team friendly list though, make some CSPs and it'll be good to go! =)
Oh, and the Silver the Hedgehog listed, where did you find a non-pink one? 0_o I've been looking all over for it. Unless yours is pink, then I've seen a lot of those =P

Does anybody have a link or is willing to share? I've looked all over and couldn't find a non-pink Silver. I gave up because all the ones I tried had a little pink. I would go and make it not pink but I don't understand +1 and +2 layering, because apparently there is some sort of off-red shine to Sonic that makes the white tinted.
Hi, I have a problem : when I install the scripts, it don't work.
And when I in some menu, the game freeze.
Maybe it's because I have a pal version.
Have you got a solution ?
thanks
As far as I know, the codes in my pack only work on the RSBE, that is, the NTSC United States (maybe Japanese too?, don't know for sure).
I think you could get this working with the right codes; the textures and my CSPs included shouldn't be region specific, but I am fairly confident that the codes are very region specific. Maybe there are PAL people that read this thread that could help you out.
Hey dudes, i got that vid up and running, showcasing my current CSPs.
Unfortunately the silver surfer was put into play after the vid was recorded. Fear not, it's still just a WIP. In fact there will be never be a final as long as new textures are continuously released.
Have to redo 95% of the CSPs you are about to see.
