Pound 4 Equipment list!

Ok, as you all know *Pound* 4 is coming up SOON!!!! Just over a month to register, a month and a half until the tournament. It's about time I get the setups listed down! As most people know I'm providing a ton of TV's for the tournament so that they will be there the whole time, people don't have to worry as much about bringing them from OOS, and I can easily keep track of them!

The main thing I need from YOU ALL is your cubes/wiis. We need as many as possible to make everything go smoothly, and they don't take up much space!

"Well I don't want my wii or cube stolen!" This is a very common problem for people with bringing setups. Here's what I plan to do to prevent theft:

1.) I will provide sticky nametags for every wii, cube, tv, or powerstrip that people bring.

and

2.)I will announce multiple times over the loud speaker that nobody is to DISCONNECT ANY SETUPS without coming to me first. I will not be hard to find at the tournament. If you need to leave or something, people MUST come to me and tell me they are taking their setup.

NOT ONLY does this help with anti-theft, it helps with tournament execution. I will know to get a new setup to that vacant TV ASAP.

Once I announce this here's the kicker: IF ANYONE IS CAUGHT REMOVING A SETUP FROM A TV DURING THE TOURNAMENT, THAT PLAYER WILL BE KICKED OUT OF THE VENUE AND NOT ALLOWED BACK IN, NO REFUND IS. All players need to be aware their systems are SAFE with my venue, and I don't tolerate shadiness at my tournaments. I will anounce this the day of so that there is no confusion.

3.) All memory cards will be taken out of wii's cubes immediately among being setup and turned on. It is the player who holds that setups duty to hold onto their memory card. I can't feasibly keep track of memory cards because they're so small, so please, just hold onto yours and only use them to boot games. If games turn off mid-way, I'll have a few official Pound memory cards people can come to me for.

All that being said, since I can't afford to pay people to bring setups since I'm instead this time opting to pay for TV's (last time I payed $15 to everyone who brought a setup, but I still didn't get enough and people left before the tourney was done, leaving me with like 10 tvs) I am really relying on the kindness of smashers and their will to make this the best tournament ever.

I will say this over and over and I want everyone to understand: THE ONLY THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY STOP THIS TOURNAMENT FROM BEING THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME IS IF PEOPLE DO NOT BRING ENOUGH CUBES/WIIS. Otherwise I know everything will go swimmingly, because I put in all my effort, and the community has a chance to make or break this. So please, bring setups.

Recording Setups:

If you are willing to record, sort the vids, AND UPLOAD in a timely fashion and are willing to bring a recording setup, post up and for which game. You can choose the matches you want recorded, but if there is something really epic and I ask you to record it, please do.

Format to Post

1 Wii (B+ able)
1 Melee
1 TV
1 Power strip

---

Depending on who of my friends rides with me, I'll also probably.
1 Blingcube
1 Melee
1 Brawl.

Just assume that I will be attending. Very little on this earth will prevent me from making it to this.

All I can carry with me from PR is my Wii + Melee and Brawl disc.

1 Wii Melee + Brawl
Eval (1-3)

Also I remember the VIP thingy back in July that you said if you pay by July 31 and bring a Wii + disc you get the VIP pass thingy. Is that still up? I hope because maybe I could skip some lines a few times since I come from PR and I would want to play as many people as possible before I leave. If not then Im cool without it I guess...

I'll bring my recording setup for Brawl all 3 days. Of course someone I trust will be looking over the recording setup too since I'll be in and out, but they know how to work it as well. This is a full HD setup on a 4GB-memory laptop so I guarantee recordings will not mess up.

Wii's:
Bionic Sonic (1-3) (B)
Bionic Sonic (1-3) (B+)

For now, all I can guarantee is a recording setup for melee days 1-3.

I still have my pound 3 TV, but I think we need setups before worrying about more Tvs.

My last copy of melee was stolen, and I'll have to burn another for my Wii which I wouldn't use for tourney since it's been known to crash. I'll try to get a hold of another copy of melee to bring my cube.

Put me down for a TV Cube and recording setup and two power squids (better than power strips). I am only staying for the Melee days though.

And I want to buy one of those TV's if you are selling them at the end.

Sounds horrific, terrifying, horrifying (from the other thread)!
Anyone who brings a capture device has the software to do what you're asking, but the quality will be terrible.

Gamebridge is probably the best software to do the video ripping with.

The videos come out as great as they do when the match is played on the TV. Unless the tape to begin with is effed up.

Gamebridge quality is amazingly good.

I'll bring a cube + melee. and two power strips.

My ride is most likely going to be with Eggm. I'm going to see if i can get him to stay for the brawl days.. but it's not likely.
