HOBO 22: World Hobo practice session #1(FULL RESULTS ARE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

HOBO 22​

Hobo 22 will be held on Feb 6th, 2010 at Funplex. This HOBO is nothing really special. Its just a HOBO that serves as practice for the upcoming national event in Houston called WORLD HOBO 2. OOS players like Lee Martin(louisiana) and Inui(New Jersey) and Royal Nynja(kansas) will attend but no one over the top special is going. One other thing to know about this hobo is that LOW TIER willing be given some priority due to the recent increased intrest.....so w/e. Anyway, tune in to the twitter and live stream on 2/6/2010 for current results and stuff. WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Story 1
As usual, i made this thread 1 day early so that i can test out the twitter(subscribe so u can get updates sent to your phone) and the live stream because i wont be able to do it on tourney day. There may be a fest going on the live stream during friday(today) so keep it open.


Story 2
Royal Nynja arrived at Bush airport at 11am today(friday) so i left my house at 11:25am. On a normal day the trip would be 1 hour at MAX(assume light traffic) but today was NOT a normal day. The second i got on the freeway i was at a dead stop. Why is this happening? It turns out that an 18-wheeler holding rocks the size of go-karts ending up flipping over on its side and spilling the massive rocks all across the 4 lane Freeway. They shut the ENTIRE freeway down and made people detour to the feeder road. The EXIT to the feeder road is ONE lane and the feeder road itself was ONE lane. This process landed me at the airport by 3:30pm.....4 hours later. Today(friday) has sucked so **** much.

Its not about the characters themselfs. The people who main low tier has a pretty nice advantage over the people who dont. its the same for a mid tier or any specific tier tournament.

I dont understand why we cant do random or something. Alot of us has been asking for it for a long time now. And it'd be a fun side event. Better than TWO low tier events.

Xyro, since this Hobo is not expected to be as big (which is why you're considering 4 events)

Why not drop LT teams and add random char event?

Random char would be soooo fun/new/exciting/etc.

Or even do ISP. Just something DIFFERENT for once. You'll still get your LT singles which you shine in (along with other LT mains), and everyone else will get something new.

I'd quickly fork over $5 bucks for random char, but for LT and LT teams. My care meter is "low" har har. Making me more likely to not give a ****

Keep LT singles but i would replace LT doubles with Random tourny. that's just my own "dont like doubles" bias though. if we have time for it of course.

Technically this will be my second irl tourney, this should be fun!

Just talked to Gnes. He and Razer are in grandfinals for doubles. In singles right now, it's Jerm vs. Lee and Fliphop vs. Razer.

I asked him about the stream, and he said it either isn't working, or there isn't one at the venue.
