Toon Link could ahve been a very unique and cool Zelda character...instead, he turned out to be a Link clone. This is by far not very impressive. However, I think the very basis of his inclusion was a rushed addition because he has 0 involvement in the SSE.
Okay, let's review some moves they could have given him:
Deku Leaf- Recovery that lifts him upwards
Wind Waker- Blows wind at foe (turned out to be a taunt...)
Fire Sword Beam- Sweeps sword and fire beam is launched
Skull Hammer- Link slams the hammer on the ground which sends out shockwaves
Bombchu- Controllable bomb
Grapple Hook- Grapples foe
Tingle Tuner- Icon that you control and drop bomb at
Jump Attack- Recovery that has Link jump up and fall down.
Phantom Hourglass- Creates safety zone where Link is untouchable by projectiles
There are more possibilities, but let's hope for now that his Final Smash is different.
I'd rather have him not be if he is a mere clone. I'd prefer him as an AT so he could maybe demonstrate one unique attack...but all AT do I guess is swing their swords or launch a big beam (that's all Sakurai put into it...)
Yeah, the least they could have done was actually make him Wind Waker Link. All he got out of it was the stupid baton, though. The worst part is...they're still gonna call him a newcomer...XD

It has been confirmed that he has the same final smash as link.
I must admit though, I'm somewhat happy that he turned out to be a link clone. Normal Link seems to have gotten pretty solid this gen (maybe rising a tier?) and a slimmer, smaller, more nimple version is my cup of tea.
...I also have this thing were I like charictors that look good and cute. Although That's not the smartest idea... x_x

I love that he's in the game. That was my wish. Plus, his bombs have the WW explosion to them. Life is good. And he might be alot of fun as a clone. he better be, he's one of my mains.
They had enough time to add a cloned character, nothing else. I'm just glad he was picked over Dr.Mario and Pichu. Or possibly worse, Paper Mario as a G&W clone.
