How do you fight Ike?

Hello, this is a thread designed to collect up-to-date info on Match-ups for the Ike boards, which is always in desperate need of good info.

I come to you today with a simple set of questions, attempting to get the "other side" of ideas pertaining to the Matchups against Ike. Its just a few simple questions I'm hoping to get answered;

1. What is your general opinion of Ike as a character?
2. What moves do you fear from Ike?
3. Which moves do not trouble you at all?
4. Which moves/techniques do you use against Ike to gain the advantage?
5. What specific edgeguards do you employ versus Ike?

Feel free to add anything else that doesn't fit into the questions criteria. The goal is to collect information, so anything s useful.

On a side note, I may feel the need to quote this info. If you don't wished to be quoted, please tell me in your posts, and I will not quote you.

1. Ike is bad but fun to play... when you don't care about winning.
2. Fully charged fsmash.
3. Fully charged fsmash, lol.
4. I go to sleep and he goes flying (but not very fast because this is brawl).
5. Hit him when he's off the edge.

1.Quite bad,actually.
2.F Smash
3.aereals,b moves
4.Juggling him in the air and outside the stage
5.A nice edgeguard is placing Ike between Jiggs and the stage when he tries to recover.

1. Slow, way too good on WiFi, sucky everywhere else.
2. Bair, really, only thing which ever seems hits me
3. Aether and that forward-B thingy which is just silly. Pretty much every single one of his pathetic B-moves, spare maybe that eruption thingy when used right.
4. Rest, and avoid whatever laggy move he uses and just punish the crabs out of him.
5. Stuff, everything but hold the edge, really.

1. Slow yes, bad no.
2. His quicker moves, eruption, and Dsmash
3.The rest of his smashes and the rest of his specials.
4. It's easy enough to use rest on him, and he's very susceptable to airials and Pound.
5. I just chase him far off the edge then wait and see if he can come back. If he does, I'll just make knocking him off my top priority and repeat.

1. i like ike because he seems to have a rich history in gaming/fire emblem.
2. usmash, bair, fair, fsmash
3. forward b lol
4. patience. if i can get around ike i can mess him up pretty bad. his after lag allows me to rest very easily. basically rest and wop.
5. jiggs' entire aerial arsenal, mostly strung together.

Aww Guys don't be A-holes!

Remember how poorly people thought of jiggs in Melee ( and still in brawl )?!?

If anything we should support those character that dont get any credit and the brave souls who main them >=(

Ike is a really great character because he fights for his friends.

Other than his social character however hes really slow so not so good lol.

Jigglypuff can **** his recovery if you know how to do it right.

1) He's a strong mofo whose not that good.
2) Fsmash and Usmash.
3) His B.
4) Shield grab . . . A LOT
5) Bairs/Fairs of pain then laugh cancel.

as Paul Stanley says "Day by day, kick it all the way"(live to win). I feel that I need to simply take my time and when it is right I go in for the rest/WOP (rollout or fsmash are incredibly risky in this match up). so yeah that's how you beat Ike.(he's more trouble for PT than Jiggz which is a great thing to say the least)
