Thanks. I'm currently trying new combos and I think I'm getting close to something cool. I'm also getting in the groove with Brawls physics and learning how to combo well without depending on hitstun because you can't in this game.

lol, no. The first stock I think he panicked and the second stock I did the "grabbing the cypher" glitch and idk what the last one i don't know what happened!!

Just grab them when they are in there Up B and let them wriggle out for an easy snake kill.

Hrm, your Pit is very predictable against that Lucas. Luckily he was terrible (look at his very weak aerial game, overuse of rolling, inability to absorb arrows, and more). You have the privilege of being able to be ultra aggressive against this guy, but versus much higher level competition, you have to be very much more cautious in your approach. One thing I realized in trying to improve my game was to play a consistent game vs. different types of opponents. This doesn't mean to play in a static fashion, but you can improve your overall game vs. everyone by trying to incorporate more feints and mindgames.

Your game vs. the Snake was a lot better. I really liked your use of chain grabs and the grab-gimp. I also like the use of your side-B versus the Snake in the first game. Against Snakes that will use projectiles, I also again suggest varying your approach to reduce predictability. Beware of overusing the side-B on the descent though, since Snake has great priority over characters above him.

Thanks for your advice, I have been waiting for a comment like that!
-I was using angel a lot because I was trying to learn when to use it and when not too. I figured out the application of AR that day but I will be more careful.
-I was doing the same thing against Lucas because I knew he wasn't going to adjust thus, it was going to work every time but I will keep that in mind when I verse others.
-The snake guy was a much better player so it showed a little more style than the Lucas. I was actually afraid to approach the Snake as opposed to Lucas, I was enjoying his very aggressive style of play I'm not too used to.
-I have two videos versing a Marth guy which are great matches I plan on putting up asap. I definitely used more mindgames then ever and I will play that way from now on. He is in between the Lucas and Snake but closer to the Snake.

-I just need to figure out how to upload without burning DVD's.

Yea i have a VCR, I don't know how to connect it to my computer. I have been burning DVD's but I want to get away from that.
I don't know what cables are needed or which port the cables plug into, the USB, S video, firewire.

added two new videos with a new person(my neighbor) the second match is my best ever match but I recommend watching the first one so you don't prejudge him by the second one. yea....the second one is what I think comboing is, brawl style!!

Wow, you totally d1cked that Marth there on his recovery. Great job!

I like your arrow game on your recovery. Though the opportunities didn't present themselves very much the first game, I think you could use more gliding recoveries to try to score a hits // throw him off via mindgame.

hmm i looked at the marth vids, the marth isnt really isnt good from personal experience and compared to other marths. on the positive side its fun watching your vids and keep it up.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy them. I don't have many friends that don't play like level 20 CPUS at some point. ARES, FlipNRED, and meEPO are the only goods one I would say. ARES and FlipNRed were great in melee and meEPO actually made me change my style a couple times in the past because he would destroy me with Ike. But I have the upper hand now against him. haha

I also had a whole DVD full of great matches against meEPO but the DVD is corrupt for some reason and he is the best in my dorm

I don't think the second one shows his skill at all. Because I know his style pretty well, I was able crush him. The second match is what I think 0-death is like Brawl style. It is where you predict every move perfectly and react accordingly with perfect spacing.
All I have left is one DVD left against Vinn I think. Hopeful I can find some good matches out of them but I doubt it. I knew his style and he didn't adjust with that one so I had an advantage..

Ok I'll keep that in mind. I was afraid to use it because he is good to counter that.

Thanks. I record by a DVD player. Im thinking about getting a capture card or something else.
If you don't have anything, just record with a VCR now then you can transfer them later.

You weren't at the tournament yesterday in the Palmer Inn, were you? I was there but played horrible. I made so many mistakes, first tourney jitters I guess. My very first match I felt as if I never played the game before haha. Maybe we can play some offline matches, I'm looking for some competition around here.

yup, first ever.. I think my biggest mistake was not playing in the friendlies before the tourney. I thought that laying low would be a good idea, obviously not! I'll remember that for next time and I know I will do much better. I also realize that I need to play at more places than FD. I love that stage.

lol yeh i play most legal stages i set the random button to legal stages so i always press random i know u said u didnt do good but what did u place?

I don't know how to find that out actually lol. I know there were 62 players and I lost my first battle 2/1 and won my second 2/0 (3 stocked the second match) and lost my third 2/0. I had the lead in the second battle on FD, my counterpick, but blew it. I was sooo dumb! Then I left right after my second elimination because I brought my sister who competed also but for fun.
I was disappointed in my performance but got respect for using the nunchuck and some Pit tricks lol.
I have FD, Battlefield, Lylat, Yoshi, and Smashville set to my random but I always manually pick FD. I should just pick random and get comfortable with the others. FD and Smashville are my favs.
How do you find the official rankings? PM the tourney director?

smashville and fd are my faves too. at first i only played fd now i play them all i like yoshi island sorta but only if they play the music where its goes "YOSHIIII" lol

That snake Spammed that U-smash too much and that annoying U-tilt is just... annoying. You aint the only one that stresses out to spammers. Thankfully you can reflect that Mortar shot from the U-smash.
And you should see how I fair against you. We may even teach each other new tricks.

Pit's Semi-chaingrab works well against a Ganon. I do have a few replays of me doing it to ganon, but sadly the Ganon was nothing more but a noobish spammer who loves D-air and Side-B a lot. I almost lost my focus in such a match with spammers anyways.

I don't think the chain grab works as well against Gannon as we think because he gets out of it now that he knows about it. Idk if it is because I'm messing up but Ill keep trying to see how effective it is. It works much better on Snake and DK. Thats all I know about atm.

y dont you use more arrows against gannon? when u did use them u seemed to get him to powershield and than punish him. its hard to c a pit losing to a ganon on FD. he must be beast.
