Hey guys, it’s feels great to finally introduce myself properly on here. My name’s Austin, but you can call me Falchion, or Sharky, if you prefer. XD I’ve totally been into Smash since 1999, and I’ve been a die-hard fan ever since. I’ve been lurking around for three years (yes, VERY long time o.o), but I thought that I should register, get to meet new people, as well as play a lot of Wi-Fi matches on Brawl. From what I’ve seen, this forum looks to be really cool.
I’m 16 years old, live in Orlando, and finally got a job a few days ago. =D My interests are video games (Nintendo over everything else), jet-skiing, mountain-biking, GFXing, and girls. <3 My favorite Nintendo franchise above everything else is the Legend of Zelda series, followed by the Star Fox series, and then it’s tied with Fire Emblem and Mario. My all-time favorite Nintendo characters are (preferably in his OoT appearance) Link, Falco, Mia (of Path of Radiance), and Wario. I also love to race in Mario Kart Wii, ever since I got it. XP
I have different styles of playing in each Smash game. In Smash 64, I always focused on aerial attacks, since most of them were really good, and still are. I main (in order) Capt. Falcon, Fox, Link, and Kirby.
In Melee, this was a huge step in Smash. I got introduced to a wider range of B attacks, meteors, the famous wavedashing, and the killer aerials. I can get by when it comes to playing my friends in Melee, but when I see monsters like Ken, Isai, and ChuDat play their hardest, I get blown away at all the combos these guys pull off, and make it look completely effortless. =x But it just motivated me to get better at the game. After watching and practicing some of their simple-to-do combos, I’ve looked up to Ken and Isai the most when it comes to Melee. I main (in order) Marth, Falco, Roy, Capt. Falcon, and Link.
In Brawl, it was really hard to adapt to the new fighting style after I’ve been so attached to Melee at first. I was really disappointed at how most of the characters couldn’t pull off their famous combos in Melee, wavedashing was removed, and the cooldowns on attacks were nerfed. However, I quickly adapted to it, and now I love it. In Brawl, I currently main Marth, Capt. Falcon, Snake, Wario, Wolf, Mario, and Zero-Suit Samus. My secondaries are Sheik, Lucario, Ganondorf, Sonic, and Ike.
Anyways, this is all I have to say that’s Smash-related. I really hope to get to know you guys a lot better, practice up new combos from any strategies you guys may have to contribute, play a lot of you, and maybe even win a tournament in the future. With this being said, it’s nice to meet you all, and I hope to have some rivals on here. >D
