****Side note on BWETT
-Bwett is one of, if not, THE BEST yoshi in the nation, and he is the hardest person i've ever tried to edgeguard. Also yoshi is almost impossible to edgeguard if it's a good player using him.

I'm not a dedede main so I can't critic too much but I noticed you attempted to dash grab alot instead try to do a dashing shield grab, alot more effecient.

I liked it quite a lot. It reminded me eerily of my own Dedede a few weeks/months back. Liek srsly, you play the exact same way that I did.

You know what I mean. It's a good move, but only when they aren't expecting it. Just don't spam it, and you'll be fine.

As nash said, Shield Grabbing is better. But apparently you knew that, too.

Here's something that helped me improve my game quite a bit: Use all of Dedede's edge games. From the ledge-grabbing position, he has at least nine ways to do something. I didn't count, but I only remember seeing three or so in your videos.
1. Fastfall-then-jump, Forward Air.
2. Same, Up Air.
3. Tilt away from ledge (fall off), jump away from ledge slightly (so you face the opposite direction), Back Air.*
4. Same as 3, Waddle Dee toss onto stage (requires Up-B to get back to ledge).
5. Same as 3 (without moving away from stage), Forward Air. This gets you directly onto the stage, while still retaining some of the F-air hitbox.
6. Roll onto stage.
7. Stand on stage.
8. Attack onto stage.
9. Jump (possibly into Down Air).

*If done properly, you should re-grab the stage immmediately after finishing the attack, without needing to press any buttons at all!

EDIT: also watch their % and hit um while u got um grabbed, w/how much ddd grabs specially, those small %s add up)

more bair imo, many a times a bair would of hit and u dint do anything

also more chain bairs offstage >< (jump towards stage, bair, jump towards stage, bair...) gets some good ko's at mid %s

more mindgames when theyre at 100% and ur trying to simply get off an uptilt, im suprised that mk got hit by 1 at all that 1 time, u went like 20 secs doing nutin but uptilt

try using more of ddd's moveset, like his downtilt, and his downb, theyre both quite suprising, and downtilt in especial is a great move (specially since his lay down is a secks pose

)

other than that some stuff u do ima steal (well mostly when ur above um, u jump+dair, i usually fastfall+airdodge...)

Anyway, the only other thing I might mention is your Back Throwing. It's a very good move, use it often, but not when you could just chaingrab across the stage instead. The best example I can give is 4:46 in the second Bwett video.

Still, very good Dedede. Do you have videos from the grand finals?

Also, alotta people don't know this but yoshi has a really good match up with D3 if you work the edge right, and bwett does, he's arguably the best yoshi in the nation based on tournament results and skill level.

My advice to you, as it is to most people, is to mix it up more. Do things to get your opponent into a position that would benefit you instead of just attacking because they're close to you. I actually do the latter a lot more than I'd like.

Something that's sort of interesting that I saw is that Dedede's Utilt seems to have canceled Yoshi's egg.

You had enough opportunities to poop on the Yoshi. A few times you hit him even further off the edge when he lost his second jump and you just let him have the edge. Learning how to SCG would be nice also.

I know how to do it, it's just if you Scg a yoshi, you lose the running momentum and he spot dodges out too easily.

You don't need "running momentum" with the CGs, because Dedede's standing grab is much longer than his dash grab, and you won't have as much lag if you whiff it. Just practice it, and once you get the hang of it, no one can escape until you want them to.

Excellent vids Fogo. I loved the way you stayed alive to like 280 against ZSS in the first match I think it was. Getting the most out of every stock. You're really good; I'd love to see you and Seibrik have a few friendlies.
