As everyone here hopefully knows, Mr. Game & Watch has a fantastically low crouch. What you might not realize is that it has real defensive application; a large variety of moves simply cannot hit Mr. Game & Watch while he is crouching. I have tested every move from the ground with every character. In the case of specials, I do not make any claims about their ability to hit while the user is short hopping. All tests were also done on training mode; I don't know if that matters.

If I put a * next to a move, that means it can hit a crouching Mr. Game & Watch if it is angled downward. With many tilts and smashes, the users of the moves frequently do not angle the attacks making crouching a fairly viable defense.

nice i didn't know snake's jab combo can't hit you while your crouching. although they usually mix them with some f-tilts :S. nice info.

I should note that Snake's first hit of forward tilt is one of many moves that can hit you while crouching but has a hard time (off the top of my head, Zelda's standing grab is like that too). Expect many "odd" misses from that while you are crouching... but watch out as the second hit of the forward tilt has no trouble hitting you at all.

I could also swear I've seen Falco's reflector hit me while crouching before, but I simply couldn't replicate it in training mode. All I can guess is that my past experiences must have involved slopes...

You probably let go as the shine was above you, so you never saw yourself uncrouch but you got hit by it as soon as it was possible.

Yea, GaW's crouch is amazing. It dodges moves like you said, and it also has an amazing tilt with no lag out of it! Thanks for all the research and data. Welcome to the GaW boards.

Does G&W have the lowest crouch? Or does Jiggly, Snake, or Kirby (just to name a few) compete for lowest?

Oooo thanks. This is very useful. Imagine the look on my opponents face when I just crouch to avoid the fsmash or usmash...lol. I think there is something like this on the Kirby boards.
