If you would like a video added, let me know and I will add it. I will not be searching for videos, thats your job.

• Snake victories will have "Snake" written after the opponent character.
• How many stocks the Snake had left will be written after Snake, and out of how many.
• If Snake won on the last stock, % will be written rather then stocks left.
• If "Snake" is not written after, the Snake lost.

The best thing to do would be for us to use a Wiki for the videos, so it will ALWAYS be updated, and so that people can post summaries, etc. Eventually, the individual that has access to the first post stops playing/caring.

I won't ever lose interest so thats not important.

I'm an addict, and proud of it. (every day all day, except for 11pm to 6am (sleep) and 7am to 3pm (weekdays > school) and the rare moments I leave my house on friday nights.

I'm running this, Ness important threads, Link important threads, and random other topics :3

Also, thanks abit_rusty didn't see one on the early pages, and the old one is outdated all the way back to May and I took up Snake as my tourney char (because I feel MK may be banned...) so I figured I could do myself a great favor by making this thread ^_^ so I can see a lot of snake vids vs varying chars.

Because my Snake got ***** by Zamus earlier...

Dates should be added to every video. And how close the matches are, as well as who won.

PS: Though you think that you NEVER will get bored of playing, it's always better to have multiple 'keys' to the video archive. This will make sure that the archive is always at it's best.

Dates added to youtube are in the youtube link if you look under the name... unless you just want people to be able to view recent vids (that I guess I'll do that...)

I'll add who wins and by how many stocks (1-2-3-4) 1 being last stock. Not doing %'s but that is actually a smart idea.... that way you can see how he lost if he did, and if a video shows a Snake ****** his/her opponent xD

Oh sorry. Ill use your format next time, sir. Sticky? I think so but lets see what happens.

hehe, its fine ^^; but it takes me like 5-10 more minutes to add them to the guide xD

(and me writing up my guide on predictability, every minute counts )

Good thread, the other one was getting really outdated.

So besides Ran, who wants how much the Snake won by, and the dates?

The dates aren't that important, since they're in the videos themselves. It'd be nice if you indicated if the Snake won or not. I'm always disappointed in other video threads when I watch one for ideas on a matchup, only to find out my character lost anyway. If you don't want to make it as detailed as "Snake ended with 1 stock, 73% damage" for every single one, don't bother. Just say "Snake victory" or "Snake loss," I guess.

Editing the OP because I have an easier idea for that.

BTW, to get the little symbol for Game and Watch is just : gw : without the spaces obviously.

OP Updated, tomorrow or later tonight I'll go through every video and skip to the end for the stocks + % if it applies + Snake Win or not....

Dates are nice to have at a glance, so you can see what is the most relevant video of a match up. Why would I want to watch someone playing a match from March of Last Year?

Does it really take that long to click the link, look at the date, and exit the link? :/ I can do that in like 5 seconds...

It's probably way more work to get all that info posted here than to just click the links...

Thats my problem with it...

If you can't hold ctrl and click a link to open it in a new tab, click the tab, look at the date, go 'oh thats old', and close it. Your really lazy.

It would be nice to get them eventually, though. Snake's boards a kinda dead lately, I don't imagine you'll get a huge flood of videos really soon. Maybe you could just do a couple at a time?

Lazy? No, I'm just posting suggestions to make the thread better. If you're going to make something, why not make it the best?

Also, I saw the most epic stage-spike as Snake.

Snake A vs Snake B

Snake A is offstage, pulls a grenade, throws it at FD (the lip) and it bounces off, he airdodges and catches it. Uses up-B

meanwhile Snake B was trying to edgeguard, jumped off, missed, used up-B,

then

Snake A blew up, stage spiking Snake B and then winning.

Snake's board is dead mostly since people keep posting 'techs' that were posted during the first two weeks of the game. It's kinda like that on most boards at this point. Also doesn't help that certain users keep bumping older threads here.

It's kinda dead because I don't think there's a big influx of new Snake players, lately. Everyone who used to play Snake because they thought he was the best has already gotten good with him and doesn't need the boards.

Now that MK is considered the best, people who would have once tried Snake play him instead, so our numbers have dropped off.

Not only that, but what are we supposed to talk about, lol?

Originally people felt that Snake had less poor match ups, but then the metagame for Meta Knight jumped significantly and showed that he had essentially no bad match ups of merit. Many Snake mains switched to MK to help against their poor match ups, but found the ease of use at mid levels [Tornado ftw] far easier than Grenade/Tilt camping with Snake.

Haha, sweet. My second time getting sig'd this month.

I personally feel as long as you space well, MK is easy. No matter what character you are.

I beat a good MK with my PT because of spacing and teching (and Luigi's Mansion is made of win)

It's the fact that everyone is focused on how fast MK is, and high priority (aka, speed and disjointed) his attacks are. That they don't bother looking at his major weaknesses.

He's -forced- to approach, and 90% of the time its with a SH'd aerial.. :| (I've faced good MK's, I've been 3 stocked by good MK's, that doesn't mean hes broken, it means the other player is a greater level then myself)

I'm used to playing against Lee [the Good one] in regards to Meta Knight. So, I can safely say I'm used to the upper end of his Metagame. Though, Lee did drop MK in favor of Lucario.

^Agreed, Havokk. Hence, my opposition to the ban. Honestly, I have a much harder time against someone like Diddy because of how much he interrupts my strategy. MK is ridiculously fast, but at least he can't force you to trip into his smashes.

I dropped MK the second I found out how he was 'broken'..... I don't want to be told the only reason I won is because I used a 'broken char'.

So I hopped from main to main (Lucas, to Pit, to Ganon, back to Pit, to Link, to Lucario, to Ness, back to Link, to PT, back to Link again, back to PT, King d3, back to Lucario, to Snake, back to Pit, to Olimar, back to Link, to Falco, then said **** it I'll main random; and thats where I am today)

My goal is to advance as many metagames, and find uses for seemingly 'useless' "techs" in hopes of helping other characters get better and improve. Especially against Metaknight who is possibly the most predictable opponent ever if you watch what your opponent uses.

Also MK can trip you with dtilt into dsmash... xD

Yeah, I know in my head what I'm supposed to do for the Diddy matchup, but when I actually play it I get so distracted by all the nanerz and dash attacks, etc.

I wouldn't worry too much about people complaining about your character. Earlier today, one of my friends played Link (not even toon like, regular link), and caught another friend's Ike in a Utilt combo. The Ike player started yelling about how broken Link is.

Lol, no matter who you play, someone will call you cheap for using them.

LOL. I have that utilt>utilt>upsmash thing in my combo vid..

Being called cheap is one thing, being told the only reason I won is because of my character, thats another.

Also, you cannot tell me I only won because of my character unless Random gives me that character the entire set so thats my real solution.

(Although Snake is my tourney/online ladder 'main')
