What are the uses of this list?

This list is to show all moves with Fixed Knockback. If a move has Fixed Knockback, you may create combo's from it because the knockback is always the same. So why not help make "True Combos" by finding all moves with Fixed Knockback?

What it means to have fixed knockback:
SmashWiki said:
"An attack with fixed knockback (also called recessive knockback) knocks its target back a specific distance that is unaffected by the target's damage.

MELEE EXAMPLES:
The most famous attack with fixed knockback is Fox's Reflector. Other examples include Luigi's taunt, the first hit of Young Link's forward smash, and Falco's blaster. Some attacks, such as Ness' forward throw, and some Natural combos have fixed knockback up until a specific point at which the knockback becomes dependent on damage. Throwing is a common way to test fixed knockback. An Up-throw will always go the same height as the last toss"
Testing for Knockback:

SCOTU said:
For anyone that doesn't know this: to test knockback:
start a new game in VS
Hit an opponent with an attack
quit the game
under the hittee's stats screen find the one entitled "Max Launch Speed": this is the knockback of that attack.
You can now start a game in say, super sudden death mode, and repeat the process, if the knockback stays the same, it's fixed (if not set). Try it on some other character, if it's the same knockback, the attack has set knockback.

This way we can quantitatively gauge knockback, and ENSURE it's fixed/ set, in a way that everyone is testing in the same way, with no margin for error based on looking and guessing.
MULTIPLE

Ledge Attacks (Below 100% - Semi-Confirmed - Wario vs Wario (at 999%), knockback went to closest "FD Diamond point". Tested against with opponent at 0%, same distance. Needs more testing. Zamus Proof Olimar Proof

Jabs - Semi-Confirmed If your character has a "multiple hit" jab at the end. (G&W, Falcon, Fox, Falco) the knockback is Fixed. If your character has a 2 hit Jab, the 1st Jab is "Fixed". If your character has a 3 hit Jab that is not multiple, the first 2 hits are Fixed. If your character has a 1 hit Jab (Meta Knight), the knockback is not Fixed. There are some exceptions to these 'rules' (Wario is one exception to the 2 hit jab rule) --- All this is theory and needs more testing.

I thought Bowser's Dthrow had fixed knockback... his Uthrow does too?
Yep, which leads to DI Reading.

People cannot DI behind Bowser when he does uthrow, if they try they are right above him.

They can choose to not DI, and he above him and -slightly- in front of him

Or they can choose to DI away, and they get this weird hitstun animation, move quickly away, and avoid our punishment for the other two basically... (you can dash, SH fair or sheild and OoS punish... but its harder)

Believe =/= True

Sorry :/ I want evidence, or at least theoretical proof. lol

Something I can easily test, or someone is willing to test for hours (and wait for their testing to be confirmed)

For you're third post. Nice post.

Also for Olimar, does that include Purple pikmin? ( I would think not, but...)

Thanks for uncomfirming those.

Might I add though:

Isn't it DAMAGE DEALT, not DISTANCE SHOT for weight, or is it both?

:mewtwo:
Both, lighter characters get more damage dealt to them + distance.

I've mostly lurked this site for a long time, but never actually signed up. I've also been on AiB. Just remove the "The" in this usernme, that's my AiB name. I've seen you on AiB too.

And, yes, Purple Pikmin does increase in knockback.

I'm -pretty sure- most get-up and ledge attacks have fixed knockback as well.

Uhhh jab flurries? idk... Yeah Ganon's chokehold would be one. And Yoshi's Neutral B. How about DDD's Down B, and Neutral B? And Kirby's Neutral B as well.
You're to slow! :sonic:

Last 2 debunked, Jab Flurries do not have set knockback but many Jab's do I believe, Yoshi's Neutral B has already been added.

EDIT:
@Umbreon
Get up attacks do not have fixed knockback. I ate my words before I even posted this.

I did Wario's getup attack vs another Wario at 999%, and it barely hit him away. (note that I'm below 100%, not above)

@ Barge - Really? I've always seen D3's Dthrow do the same amount of knockback, regardless if they can be infinited or not.

If we're talking about fixed distance for every character, then no, DDD's dthrow does not have fixed distance.

As Havokk stated, some "bounce" others "slide"

Formatting starting to begin, so people don't repeat stuff and things are easier to find. :)

Formatting it RANDOMLY by Name right now, then I'll get it in ABC order afterwards....

Thanks for leading me on to ROBs D-Throw.. I'm going to try and figure out what makes that move work now.

Good idea to have this list compiled! Keep up the good work.

Sonic's first two jabs have set knockback, as somebody (I don't remember who) said that some characters' jabs would have.

Sonic's USmash attacks also have set knockback, although the first and last hitboxes are % dependent. I'm talking about the multi-hit moves inbetween the first and last hitboxes (the way I tested it was I hit a CPU training dummy in training mode and initiated the attack before the invincibility frames wore off from the recovery platform. That way, the first hitbox wouldn't send him flying before the other attacks would)

I guess if you had somebody else to help you out here, you could have somebody make the training dummy walk into Sonic's USmash after the "jump", and I'm sure you'll get the same results.
