I'm not asking for recruits.

Can someone with experience tell me the basics of creating a Smash Crew and what that entails? I want to make this a serious tournament-going thing.

What are the things a crew needs? What is expected of us?

Really it is up to you and your group. A Crew is just a group of people that practice together

Crews usually:
Practice together a lot.
Have doubles strategies (If you're group does doubles)
Help each other with new strategies
Car pool to tournaments

OK, thanks. I only had group t-shirts in mind, and practicing for tournaments. That's as far as I got.

A great crew consist of:

-A bonding between ALL crew members with helping each other out.
-Similar skiil levels, different type of skill player (optional)
-A hang out to practice regularly.
-Have a diverse plan when planning to attend tourneys such as singles, doubles, MM's etc...
-Talk all out like a ***** and have fun while doing so. ^_^

I imagine it would also help if you didn't all play the same characters.

Me and my friends just started a crew called uptown's finest. There are about 10 of us now. All 10 of us will be at COT4 but we only got 7 that will enter the crew battle tourney.

To have a good crew all your members should be of equal or near equal skill level yet all main different chars. This will help with practices as you get a good amount of experience fighting different chars at high level of play. Also a dedicated practice spot is also a good thing and of course practice itself.

If u have a crew more then likely your going to be doing doubles. Most crews have gameplans going into doubles.

I'm looking forward to see all the crews at COT4!
