DSF, start using Snake again so we can actually see that character's potential. A lot of players, including myself, think Snake is the best character.

inui im impressed, your posts actually make me angry, most of the time i can brush stupid posts off but with this much stupid concentrated in one post, it is difficult.

can you name a single (well-known/respected) non MK main that thinks snake is the best character? MK received a 15.0 on the SBR tier list, that means out of 40-50 (or however many people voted) in the SBR, every single person had him either 1st or tied for 1st.

Ether and Yes! in NJ are Snake mains, but you might not count them.

teh_spamerer and I main Meta Knight, so...

I know of several randoms, but they don't count much.

I know most people think Snake isn't the best, but it's ok. The real best character will be known soon enough.

Yeah, that's the thing. The people that think Snake is the best are basically MK mains. I think Snake is potentially the best, but at the same time I think Falco is possibly slightly better.

No, I just think Snake is hard to judge. Right now I think top tier could possibly be one of the following.

MK
Snake
Falco

or

MK
Falco

Frankly, I dropped the notion of Snake as 2nd best a while ago. Totally understand and won't even argue with someone who views him as 2nd, but I look at him as 3rd, maybe even 4th. I can't comprehend how the SBR put him in his own tier.

I feel at the highest level, with techchasing and bucket braking, G&W is better than Snake. He has better matchups already, with Snake and Marth functioning as his counters, and no other notable bad matchups (unless you count Toon Link, something half the G&W's vehemently disagree with).

Falco could very well be better too.

He's the only character in the game without a counter. Even if you're in the "Snake has the advantage on MK" camp (I consider it even at best), he doesn't counter him, and Diddy's a neutral matchup at best.

Also, with regards to the number of attendees; the weather ***** this tournament. This is the most snowfall Spokane has seen in 100 years of records. 0.o Oregon, NorCal, and Nevada cancelled last minute due to it.

Record 100 year snowfall and floods in Oregon.

We were expecting Oregon, Reno, NorCal, SoCal, and Canada to show, but the weather caused everyone to cancel except DSF and ShadowRob. Western Washington drove over the pass, so everyone else has no johns.

Everyone but DSF, ShadowRob, and Western WA fails.

We'll try to host another one in 2009 during favorable weather.

I say that about both Meta Knight and Snake because there is no tier gap between them and characters like Falco, Game and Watch, Olimar, Diddy Kong, and Dedede.

Game and Watch has 0 bad match-ups? Snake doesn't have bad match-ups. He has match-ups where players don't camp intelligently enough, but the character itself has no bad match-ups.

I've already argued alway the supposed Falco disadvantage and have been proving it by beating Falcos with Snake. A lot of Snake players, and Falco players as well, are beginning to realize it's just a mythological counter like the rest of Snake's supposed counters.

The only thing left is Dedede. I got that soon. I'll beat more good Dededes besides CO18 in that.

Falco could very well be better too.

Falco loses to MK, Game and Watch, and Marth for sure.

Snake loses to nobody.

Snake is the only character without a counter, not MK. MK is not a tier above such gayness as Game and Watch and Falco.

This was sooooooooooooo fuunnnnnnnnnnnn. Especially the MMs Praxis.

Oh, and does anyone who doesn't main MK think Snake is the best in the game? Just a thought =| I may not be a top player, but a lot of people are arguing that MK isn't the best just because they are going to look like homos for playing him. Lulz.
