Chicago Brawl, Melee, Naruto, TvC, HDR - January 24 Results

It was a really fun event. I thankful for all the support from the community. You guys showed up in full force to represent each game at the event. Also thanks to all the Brawl players for giving us a really big turn out. Well hopefully this is the start of a good series and I can tell the Chicago scene is out to support and participate in these Events. Many Local players also placed high in every tournament, so it was good with all the out of state competition in every game! ^_^

A doubles Match between SamuraiPanda and Bowyer vs Arty and Quik




We have two potential Venues for the next Event! Screenz is going to start remodeling on Monday, working on giving a bigger space, buying 10 more TVs to be used in tournaments, adding 2 Projectors for everyone to play whatever game they want on it, and adding a lot more chairs and Lounging area like Sofas. They will be done remodeling around February 15, I will update on that when they are done. The other venue is closer to the Highway and unlike Screenz it has a lot of Free Local Neighbor Parking with no Parking Meters and actual Parking Lots! It also is willing to hold 2-day events and provide overnight housing, like Lock-Ins. I'll see what I find out before I announce if the Venues are Changing.


Hope everyone had a fun time and for the record the final count of total attendance for this event in all games was.... 115 People! Thanks for all your Support Everyone! ^_^

This tournament was waaaaaay too fun (albeit long), it was cool seeing old faces and meeting new ones. Too bad I didn't get to say goodbye to anybody though, when I had to leave I couldn't find anyone who wasn't busy . Some shoutouts:

avj89 - We didn't get to play each other in the bracket, but those friendlies and doubles matches we had were fun. It was cool to meet you, I hope we see each other again.

Kirk & Meneil - It was great seeing you guys again, and it was also fun to hang out with you guys and get some ice cream. I'm sorry I couldn't say good-bye, I couldn't find Meneil and Kirk was busy with a tournament match .

indifference - My first opponent in the bracket, it was fun to play and hang around with you. Keep up that G&W stuff .

shintarru - Dang, I have to make sure not to let down my guard, you almost came back and won that last game x_x. Your Marth and Fox were too fun to play against, those were some fun games. And yeah, hopefully those games were recorded >.>.

Arty - Best Falco I've ever played, that was some crazy laser and jab work. It was refreshing to play a Falco who did more than DThrow to the edge and DAir, hopefully we'll be able to play again sometime.

Xyless - It was very cool to meet you, too bad you were off during our games . Hopefully I'll be able to play you again in the future when you're not having an off moment.

Omniswell - Wow, your Wolf was crazy. I have to learn to deal with the laser and BAir -> FSmash work, that was pretty scary to fight against for the first time (johns?). It was sort of funny that you had to get play 3 Ikes in a row (Kirk -> some other guy -> me? Hopefully I'm counting it right). Great job getting 4th, and great games.

Lain - It was fun to see you again, too bad we couldn't play any matches though . Since Kirk beat Omni and Omni beat me, I'm not so sure that you can keep calling me the best Ike >.>. Congratulations with getting 2nd, you + Omni + Anther + SamuraiPanda prove how Michigan is too good.

Bo X7 - Great ROB and best Mario ever, playing against you in single and double friendlies was too fun. Hopefully we'll be able to get in more games next time we meet.

This is probably going to be my last out of state tournament. I have too much homework and it's too boring/annoying to play singles seriously so I'm going to stay in MI and stop playing MK in singles (other than MK dittos, those are actually fun ). I had great time traveling and meeting everyone over the last 2 months and I hope to see everyone in MI soon.
