Could go somewhere in the video, it's pretty epic. There's also:

Heh. Only problem with the OCR song is that it's over 6 minutes split between 3 characters. Which could be a problem (not that it stopped me from putting it into my list the moment I heard it
). I had a gigantic post ready that I never posted for BB on the music thread, there, which outlines this problem and gives a ton of suggestions for songs. I was going to wait until I got a chance to find songs for each series, but... oh well. Post is as follows (note: for those who weren't following the thread, we were still uncertain if we were going to use real songs or VG remixes, so this also addresses that):
---
I just realized that if every character has only one minute's worth of clips then this will be a 40 minute combo video. Awesome lol
That said... this could turn out to be a problem. It means that while we could show a nice two minutes or so of every character and really get them some exposure with some sweet combos, I'm not sure if people are going to want to watch an 80 minute combo video. We're probably gonna want to try to keep most characters' clips between 1 and 1.5 minutes a piece. While we should probably still divide the characters up by game, this is gonna tack on one more restriction on how we pick our music. For each character being represented by a song (or multiple songs in the case of the larger groups of characters), the song should probably be about 1-1.5 minutes long, and
at most 2 minutes. The pokemon and mario sections will each end up being 6-9 minutes of pure combo ****, but if we go too far above that, we won't even be able to load the segments on youtube lol
Anyway, I think we should try to use **** game remixes for this rather than fight over what real songs we think fit best for the characters (especially when we're going to be covering a whole series with one song, rather than just a single character). Everyone has their own vision for what they consider to be a "good song," but when you
have to work within remixes for a certain game, it should help to narrow things down enough that we could actually come to a decision about what we want to use. Plus, when you listen to some of these remixes, how could you
not want to use them?
Now, all
that said... enter: Awesome remix zone. I'm just gonna list 'em by series. I'm not saying we should use all of these, but I'm throwing them out there as some of my favorites off of ocremix or otherwise.

We're probably gonna need to use multiple mario songs... there are just sooo many characters. I of course recommend the first two on this list. The second song needs to make it into the video in some form... maybe not that particular remix, but when you hear it... you'll know what I mean. The third is another version of the song gimpy used for ssb:m, so we might not want to use it (even though imo it's better than the one gimpy used
)
<"Edit"> K. We should definitely use muba's song for this, too. Muba's song, the second song here, and one other song should cover us for the mario series.

The first felt too quiet for a combo video, but eh... The second one is prob my favorite on the list, and it's long enough for a little over a minute per character. I also liked the third, but not quite as much as the second; they're remixes of the same song, so we probably wouldn't wanna use them together. If we use the third one we would almost definitely have to use something else with it, though, as it only allocates 45 seconds or so per character, in a group that houses two of the most **** comboers in the game.
Metroid:

Metroid metal is too good. Both songs are under three minutes, too, which is good. Whichever we use would give a good 1 and a half minutes or so to each character. The OCR song is a good 4 minutes, so we probably wouldn't end up using it, but I figured I'd include it here simply because it's awesome. There are a
ton of good super metroid remixes on OCR, so when you get some time I suggest you check them all out.

Mandatory DO A BARREL ROLL! On the first song, even! It's actually a pretty solid remix imo. It lasts a little over 6 minutes, so if we wanna give the spacies 2 min a piece, then... we can. Whether we want to give them that much time or not is the question. Second is quite a bit shorter, and I like it quite a bit, too, and would give ~1:15ish per character. Third song is a star wolf remix that I liked. The 4th song is one that I downloaded a while ago, but his site appears to be gone, now, so I uploaded the file to megaupload for ya'll.
Kirby:

The first one was one that I found on the main site. The second link is a whole album of kirby remixes. I haven't listened to any of them yet, but the first was really solid imo.
<"Edit"> Yeah, this was basically where I left off in looking for songs to use.
One other problem that remains is how we're going to do all the individual characters... there are a lot of them. We can't give each of them their own section, and I doubt we could even find songs short enough for them, anyway. Something like how gimpy grouped them together I think would work nicely. For standalones, you've got Pit, ICs, ROB, GAW, Olimar, Snake, Sonic, and the one and only... Falcon. That's 8 characters, and we could split them up in a couple different ways. Should we group snake and sonic together since they're both 3rd party and then split the remaining 6 in half? Then either snake or sonic will kinda lose their "identity" if we do that, then, since only one would get their game's song to play, while the only character among the other 6 that has an actually important identity to preserve is falcon. So I suggest that we split up snake and sonic, and then group them with a few of the other characters. What? This would mean falcon wouldn't get his theme to play? BLASPHEMY! Easy solution... give falcon his own segment!
You know you want to. He's certainly a combo-oriented enough character to be able to have his own segment that lasts some 2:30-3:00. He'd be our closer, probably - the grand finale. SO GET SOME GOOD FALCON CLIPS PEOPLE!
This combo video is going to be epic. Let's do it right!

That's the entirety of the post, with two extra notes I made just now. So what do you all think?
Oh yeah... and to those here who are musically inclined... if there are any series where we end up not being able to find a good remix for... how about we try and churn out a remix of our own? It would add yet another little touch to the video. Although if we find good remixes anyway, then it'd be completely unnecessary. Still, something to think about.
