Introduction:
Hello all,
Welcome. I'd like to introduce my ChuDat dojo tournaments. It's exactly how it sounds. We will be training at these tournaments at top level play. I believe that MD/VA hasn't been doing so well in tournaments. Out of staters are coming and taking our money. We need to make a stand and defend our title as the BEST region in all of North America. So if you want to be part of the BEST region, make sure you come to this. We will be preparing for tournaments at high level play, practicing, perfecting our mind games, learning new techniques, and above all, improve our mentality towards a competitive mentality. By the time you are ready to ascend to the next level, you should reach a "subconscious level of tournament play" meaning everything you do WILL be second nature to you. This will mentally prepare you for any and all tournaments that you attend. This is my mentality when going into a tournament and I would like to share my knowledge to get this community going strong!
What I want you to learn, do, and know:
I want everyone to take these tournaments seriously. Get the most you can from these tournaments. Do NOT go low tier characters (does not apply to low tier mains, but I suggest you guys pick up a better character to get a real chance at a competitive environment and help not only yourselves but others as well by giving them a mental challenge). We should discuss and share knowledge with each other. But most of all guys, I want you to have fun! Positive environments also help with our mentality towards the game.

Everyone has 5 minutes MAYBE 10 minutes after registration is over before they are charged. Seriously try arrive on time guys =).
Housing: PM me If you need housing so that I can make a list of you guys and put you guys somewhere accordingly. Housing only goes out to the FIRST 7 people that ask. After that, you have to look around for housing.

Food: There is a KFC, Taco Bell, and other various food places of walking distance. There are also vending machines at the place.
Rules : Standard Rules for each tournament + ChuDatz Rulez (Just ask me during the tournament if you have any questions).

Stage Striking system: For the first match, you and your opponent will alternate and strike a starting stage until one is agreed on. This rule seems to be the most popular for out of state tournaments.
Planking Rule - If a player grabs the edge more than 50 times in a single match, then that player forfeits that match.
Controller Port Priority - If there is a dispute on what controller port a person wants to use, then it will be decided in a rock-paper-scissors fashion. For teams, winner of the rock-paper-scissors will get a chance to decide a choice between ports 1 and 4, and, ports 2 and 3.
Double Blind - If two people can't decide on a character to pick in the first match, then they must whisper their characters to a different person. The characters must be announced at the same time.
Daves Stupid Rule
Guys, remember that this tournament is supposed to be an out of state training tournament. All rules will be the exact same as an out of state tournament. Best of three matches with finals best of five and Double Elimination for all tournaments. One ban of any stage.
