You have a mad sexy Fox, Lovage. I really enjoyed watching your sets. I watched your set against Zhu and what I noticed a few errors was based on your edge game. Just be a bit more mindful about activating your Up B so close to the stage. I believe that error cost you two stocks. Oh and my personal opinion, I'd use a little more forward tilt as an edge guard. But that's me. ^^;

As for the second match, I know its a hell of a lot easier said then done...but you really got to grab Zhu more. But the way he lasers makes that really annoying. I think a good trick that might work would be to do a empty full jump and land right in front of Zhu. He might spot dodge, in which case you can grab him. Or another option can be to run up to him, shield, watch for a spot dodge and grab him like that. I just think you should try your best and make him "flinch" more.

But yeah man, you have a very nice Fox. I enjoyed your sets. XD

yea lol grabbing zhu is VERY hard
i recently got better at shield grabbing him, but now he usually spaces so he barely hits my shield. lol its gay

also i need to use dsmash more as an edgeguard, thats my least used move
i think the main things that would help me against zhu is doing more efficient combos and gaining early momentum. zhu plays EXTREMELY well when he's a stock up, getting combacks against zhu is really rare. but when he is put on his back he doesnt play as well. watch his set vs. SS from mango juice, the matches zhu won he 2 stocked SS, and the ones he lost he had no momentum and were pretty close.

i did well early in the first match, but once zhu got me in his combos it was way harder to keep the pressure on him. trust me, once you play zhu, you'll get to feel how heart-breaking it is when he can get 80%+edgeguard on ANY shine or dair lol. so i think i must get really good momentum in the early-game, definitely take the first stock, and then roll with it as long as i can and keep the pressure on without making dumb aggressive mistakes

You have a cool fox man. Have you ever considered learning to powershield against Falco? I know it sounds ridiculous, but once Falco becomes scared to laser his approach is gone, and you can get your grabs that way. It's not as hard as people make it out to be-- it's also pretty easy if you run into it.

That way, even if you do it too early, it'll still be a quick shield and you can nair out of it, or if you do it too late and the laser hits you, at least you'll have the shield out and you can do a retreating aerial out of it.

But uhh, Zhu has a way of getting into people's faces, and powershielding isn't particularly viable when they are right in your face. In that case consider shine out of shield. You're technical. You can do it. And it helps a lot against Falco.

Cool videos.

Wow Lovage thats some seriously ridiculous fox >_>.

Not sure if it can be advice but I think personally if you slowed down and gave your situation a bit more thought you can do a lot better.

It seemed like you rushed sometimes.

For example there was a situation when you upthrowed Zhu in the center of PS(Well leaning to the left) and after the upthrow you immediately went for a bair tech chase off the left side of the platform.

You could have waited a moment and reacted to any of his options since it was restricted to that platform.

Basically, try slowing down but pretty sexy fox nonetheless.

There needs to be a "Ask Zhu about making your falco ultra sexy" thread because I love watching Zhu's falco and Zhu should teach me how to play falco.

I only watched the one against Zhu, and one of the biggest mistakes you made IMO was having absolutly no platform game. Even when you went on dreamland you just ran around the ground short hopping aerials, or occasionly full hopping... you gotta hog platforms against falcos.. especially a zhu falco lol.
