Pools will be done first if neccessary, followed by brackets. Both singles and doubles will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION.

Doubles Team Attack is ON, LIFE stealing is allowed.

In the case of a GameCube/TV malfunction, the game will be restarted from the beginning, no matter what time it crashed.

All decisions made by tournament officials are final.

Players must conduct themselves in a reasonable manner. Permanent ejection of a player from the tournament is at MY discretion.

Any sign of cheating will also result in forfeit of the game.

Any intentional forfeiting or conspiring to manipulate the brackets will result in ejection and possible suspension from future tournaments.

Controller mods of ANY kind (short-hop mod, L-trigger mod, etc), except for cosmetic changes (paint job, different colored plastic), are banned. Tournament staff may randomly inspect any controller at their discretion. If you are caught using a banned controller you will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.

Turbo or programmed buttons of any kind are banned. You may use third party controllers or pads that have these features, but if you are suspected of using the banned features you will not be allowed to use that controller any longer.

The stage for Game 1 will be selected at random unless both players/teams can agree on one.

Double Blind Rule: For the first game of a series, a player may call for a double-blind pick. This means that all participating players must tell a judge the character they will use for that game. Each player is required to use that character in the game.

WOBBLING IS BANNED

After characters have been selected for the first game, each player/team may choose one stage from the available tournament list that won’t be used during the series.

Dave's Stupid Rule is in effect. (The loser/counterpicking player may NOT choose to counterpick the stage they last won on in the set.)

After each game of a series, the player who lost the previous game may choose the stage for the next game or elect for it to be chosen randomly. After the stage has been selected, the winner of the previous game may change characters. After the winner has chosen their character, the loser of the previous game may change characters.

Probably not the June one that I'll be coming to, due to Pokemon Regionals. If you end up doing Bi-weeklies, I'd definitely be down for attending some of those.

I know for sure that I won't be attending the one in June. I, too, will be attending Tennessee's Pokemon Regionals. I'll see what I can do about the months after that. I'd like to come down to South Carolina for Smash sometime in the future.

And are you really serious about the Laser Lock rule? There are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many things in this game that are far worse than that. What makes something so unreliable, easily avoided, and far from broken worth banning?

Ah, I hate this venue, it's too small, but I'm all for supporting something in-state.

I'll definitely come to this as long as I'm off.

I can bring an entire setup + recording station.

It was suggested to me that Laser Locking should be banned, so I went on that guy's call. I won't be doing one in June anyway because of HERB2 and Genesis and Pokemon Regionals being in the same month in different times, plus, I'll be going to HERB2, so I can't plan one in that month.

The Pokemon Regionals are mid-June, Nationals will be late June. Genesis and HERB 2 are in July. I doubt the Pokemon tournaments will hurt the tournament's attendance that badly. June's not what you have to worry about; July is.

Oh, sorry, I meant July, not June in that last post I did. July is when HERB2 and Genesis are, so I won't do a monthy then. I'll still do the one in June.

You should start seeing who all you know will commit to your tournament and ask people to confirm that they will come to your tournament and list them. When people see other people will come to their tournament it will give them the incentive to come for the competition, prize, and whatnot.

Yeah, I'll probably add Melee to the list too. :D

I don't have a copy of Melee though, and you guys still need to bring your own controllers.

And people need to bring copies of Melee, a bunch too, depending on the number of TVs people bring.

Nice =D So far, so good, 7 people so far, plus anyone that may be told be the people that run AC. I may be posting some ads on some Gamestop stores around here that may help. I'm pretty sure that enough will come without them though.

Hey, I just got down in Charleston for two weeks. Kinda itchin to play some people. I know this isn't the place to probably ask, but SC doesn't have a contact thread so I figure this would be the next best thread to post. I'm in Kings Grant in Summerville, but I don't really have transportation *sigh*. Still if I could get some rides, I'd be more than down to play pretty much anywhere.

I meant, what's going on for why you might not be able to make it?

EDIT: If ANYONE has a laptop, PLEASE bring it, I think Devin is going to bring some recording devices, which may include a laptop, but I need a laptop to use Tio on. And people, PLEASE bring stations (I still need TVs, and Wiis and Brawl, so far, we have 2 stations).

GREAT! Please try to come, and if you do, try to bring a TV, if that's possible. But if you can only bring your laptop and recording device, that's fine! =D

I would love to go. :O! I don't think I'll be able to make it though. Not that I have preexisting plans, I just don't have a way up there. I live like 10 minutes away. If someone would be willing to let me go with them... :) I'd love to make an appearance.
