Alright, We're trying to bring Brawl more to Gainesville Florida, so we're hosting a Brawl tourny (no Melee) in the heart of G-Ville.

Address: Hookah Hutt 1029 West University Ave Gainesville, Fl 32608
Date: July 11th
Registration Time: 10:00-12:00
Doubles start at 12:30
Singles follow after doubles.

Fees:
$5 door fee
Singles: $10 Per Player
Doubles: $20 Per Team ($10 Per player)

Rules:
Singles and Doubles
Double Elimination, best of three.
Doubles first followed by Singles.

3 Stock Rounds
Handicap: Off
Damage Ratio: 1.0
Friendly Fire: On
Self-Destruct: -1
Items: Off
Timer: 7 minutes

Neutral Stages:
Battlefield
Final Destination
Yoshi's Island
Lylat Cruise
Smashville

Counterpicks:
Pokemon Stadium 1&2
Delfino Plaza
Castle Siege
Pirate Ship
Frigate Orpheon
Halberd
Brinstar
Luigi's Mansion
Norfair

Pot, same for singles and doubles:
1st place: 60%
2nd place: 25%
3rd place: 15%

Bring Money for food, drinks ect. Hookah Hutt wil serve food and drinks.
Soda, Energy drinks, coffee ect.
Oriental Cakes, Snacks, Wings, Chips, Cakes, Cheese Cakes, Hot Dogs, Panini's, Chicken Quesadilla's, ect.

WE NEED WII'S AND TV'S. WE CAN PROVIDE SOME BUT WE NEED MORE.

Under 18 allowed, however no minors may smoke, you will be penalized. They'll I.D.

Are the 18 and above allowed to smoke at this event? I never tried a hookah before, and its been a good month since I inhaled anything.

Tampa is the only place where 30 minutes to go to a tourney is too far lol.

This interests me... I will be in Florida around the time this is happening, and it doesn't seem to far away from Orlando. I wanna play RedHalberd. I remember him off Nintendohub. Dayum that was ages ago...

i'm gonna be teaming up with Ayume(formerly known as ZMB), so she'll be there

also... can the door fee be waived if we bring a setup? TV and wii?

I created an account just to post for this. I just googled gainesville + brawl and found this thread. I actually go to UF, lol. This is awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. I think ill be there along with my roomate for summer B. Looking forward to it.

Does OP go to UF/live in gainesville?

Contrary to the attendance list there are actually gonna be a lot of people here.

But this will have a much larger pot and relatively small competition. :metaknight:

Just gainesville scrubs and that mythical dude Redhalberd that never shows up.

Hell, he probably wont even show up to this....
